Hey there all! New to the forum was just wondering if any of you had a Korg Entrancer you’d be willing to sell? I haven’t had much luck finding them in the states. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated! I’d also be into another piece of equipment that would do some of the same visuals but ...

For the $300-$500 range you can get a used Canon T2i / T3i DSLR with kit lens and/or 50mm prime 1.8f lens. Cheapest would be to buy a body only, and then get a used 50mm lens. Throw Magic Lantern on it for some extra video features. With the 1.8 50mm lens it'll be perfect for dark / dim lighting. DS...

i would personally recommend a Blackmagic intensity if you are on a budget. its gonna do its job without hassle. and good quality. I have one of these too and it's pretty great! Only caveat is that the USB version requires a specific USB host to work correctly. I have the PCIe version and have had ...

I have one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Generic-Composite-Converter-Adapter-Blue-ray/dp/B00HXB73KE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1429222060&sr=8-2&keywords=hdmi+to+composite It's cheap cheap cheap and it works as advertised to go from HDMI -> Composite. For higher quality though, I think Liz has mention...

Read the write up of the how:

It's like the equivalent of coaxing a vacuum tube radio into a black & white TV, and then overscanning and getting that to display color, and then timing the beam for it to display in 4k 8-)

Videonics mx1, Panasonic wj-ave5, sima sfx-11. In order of quality imo, are all pretty popular video mixers. Not near v-4 quality, but it sounds like for what you're doing either would do ya well effects wise.. What's your budget Ginko? MX1's biggest flaw is the lag/delay. Used one once and and it ...

We've had one, they give a very soft, almost out of focus look to everything.

The downside with them though is that every input must be genlocked.

I think I got mine off of ebay for about $45 shipped? They aren't too much.

Yeah, the cheapest route I believe to make a controller is to get an old 2D GPU with 4 outs, then DVI->HDMI cable, then HDMI-CVS converter box.

VGA Scan converters are double the price of a cheap HDMI-CVS converter box.

I'm assuming you did try first adjusting brightness from the buttons on the front? The manual says the knobs on the back are only to set limits, not for normal control of brightness/contrast. Chances are the pots are fairly standard values, so you probably can get replacement parts to fix the broke...

Anyone with any suggestions I'm totally all ears! 1 ton (almost, each is 100lbs) of TVs later: http://i.imgur.com/uWFHmYi.jpg Don't have a controller yet, but the plan is to get 2-3 NVI...

Will there be any expandability with scripting / additional "modules/filters"? What's the CPU / RAM requirements? Is it limited to 480p? Can it do HD? What's the pric...
