Re: Stroh Flexwave VCO
Sounds cool, I really enjoy your designs. A smaller dual osc would be super fun. Other than the wave folder I think I have all the parts of the flexwave, but it's spread across the room in different cases so it's hard to voltron them all together.

Re: Stroh Flexwave VCO
I just finished up a completely new line of PCBs consisting of new designs, and highly refined versions of things like the FlexWave. I'm just going through the final testing phases, so there will be a new revision of the FlexWave kicking around at some point. (just refinements, no new functions tho...

The 12v regulator is for people like me who build with +/-15v power supplies. You don't need it with a +/-12v supply.

Random*Source's documentation has never been good but going by the documentation I have and the one I built it does look like R6 was renamed R55. Fantastic phaser though.

Re: I'm paralyzed by aesthetic choices
Neither. I like both panels and the metal knobs (?) on the aluminum look great but why are inputs and output bananas the same color? On the black panel the colors look random. Why is blue knob controlling yellow banana? If you're going to use colors have them mean something. Also agree with why not ...

Re: Masterizing Mods
I have someone else's 5033 here right now and I think it's a fantastic eq but the mods you are suggesting sound like a world of pain and I don't think they're going to work as well as you think. You really need to remove the old pots if you going to do something like this. If you want a stereo eq yo...

Re: MFB Kraftzwerg PSU
Does it say anything on the sticker on the bottom? I used to have a megazwerg which had the same case and checked with mfb about the power supply and apparently they used multiple power supplies, some required ac/dc adapters, some required ac/ac etc. Mine needed 24VDC but the one the dude from mfb h...

Re: electrix repeater firmware
I'm not sure that there aren't other things at work here but in my experience CFC SLOW is a card problem. I saw plenty of those with the latest OS. It's been a while since I looked into it but my understanding was that the repeater needs a particular controller on the CFC card and cards from the big...

Re: electrix repeater firmware
I bought 10's of cards that looked exactly like the cards in photos of known good ones with no luck. Eventually I had to pony up for a card that was known to work well with the repeater. That being said it'll save to any old card and while working in RAM has it's limits it's still tons of fun.

Quite new to me but I am very happy with the 1010 bluebox. Perfect for jams outside the studio with a few pieces plus it can record them. Very not dubwise but pocket sized instead.

Re: Vermona retroverb lancet vs Ekdahl moisturizer
Well if you don't use most of it the moisturizer can act like a standard spring reverb. :hihi: You'd benefit from getting the mods done so you can use the filter after the reverb for tone shaping. The hands on part of dub mixing is more about the desk and controlling what you're sending to the rever...

Re: Something New from Doc Sketchy
I know the frac dimensions, it's euro I'm not too sure about. I have a number of shallower cases so was daydreaming about pcb's parallel to the panel and figured it would have to be 4 fracs wide. It was the 12hp number I was confused about, I think that's only possible if the pcb's are perpendicular...

Re: Something New from Doc Sketchy
The board stack is probably a little bit less than 2" thick, but it has to be mounted to something. If the panel were 12 HP wide, then the boards could be mounted parallel to the panel. Also, the panel PCB could be organized with mounting holes that would line up with the corners of the Freak Shift...

Re: Sampler for system trending bananas : op-1 ?
The op-1 is nice but there's nothing particularly banana friendly about it. With rather low level 3.5mm stereo jacks and no onboard midi, clock or cv it usually requires a couple extra devices to play nice with modular. The closest thing to banana format sampler is a gotharman little deformer 1/2 wi...
