Well that's a wet dream. In school (The Evergreen State) my main performance suite was the AKS, Buchla Music Easel and my own four panel Serge system. If I had the money... ;-)

I'm afraid it would be really hard to cram into a Euro or Frac format, judging from my mental image of how large the mechanical components would need to be. It might be doable in a 5U format. The other option is to have the mechanical portion mounted remotely, the way some spring reverb modules are...

I know the real problem of recreating the Hammond sound is to re-create the tone wheel. Not a simple task as their are soooo many wheels. Normally I'd say that would never be practical. Very nice. Very Very Nice! During an electronic music seminar I was teaching we took one of the 3 AG440's and strung about 40 ft of tape between them to make loops that really lasted.
