Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

I do feel that we are getting a lot of “slutz” migrating to here though. I've noticed this over the past years. It's the trolling and constant need to debate what's been said and/or attack someone based on how they've spun someones words into something it wasn't intended to mean that has made it be...

Re: Is Modcan still producing Eurorack modules?

It's highly unlikely Modcan will fire up production any time soon unless Bruce lets someone come in and help him in a big way. By the sounds of it that's not even on the table but that's just what's floating around the rumor mill. So who knows. Regardless just keep your eyes on the used market. By ...

I’ve been wondering about this. Not necessarily the best sounding but which samplers have a character that is injected into the sound of the samples. Or are most of them straight forward sounding?

Re: Frap Tools QSC - Quad Stereo Channel Mixer

Mono sends on a stereo mixer? I don't understand this decision either. This doesn't make sense to me. Frap Tools designs some great modules so they obviously know what they're doing. Maybe I'm missing something. :despair: It makes sense when you consider the whole CGM system. But - you just made me...

I have a dark blue PCB not red. I dont have any Revision on that PCB. So this is not the new one and no possibility to upgrade the firmware? Maybe someone with the new PCBs can take a picture of it and post it here? Are the new PCB’s suppose to be red? Ahhh just looked. It should be black and say v...

This is a module for some reason I never looked too closely at until recently. My sequencing duties are fulfilled so I was just curious about this. Thanks for the responses. I think I’m gonna give this a shot.

Re: Malekko Heavy Industries Voltage Block

Im considering getting the VB but I’m wondering if it would be overkill. I’m not interested in using it for melodic sequences. I’m wanting to use it more for modulation. Anyone else use it mainly for this purpose?

I don’t see much love for this delay but the Erica Synths Black Stereo Delay sounds great and you can make some multi-layered drones with the “hold” and “add” functions. Desmodus Versio is great too. I have this and the Erica Delay right next to each other. The Lo-Fi Junky is nice if you’re into tha...

Re: Module which unexpectedly blew you away?

Smooth/Stepped Generator is probably the biggest surprise for me. I knew of its patch programmability, but I didn't realize how much it could do, how good it sounds, how the two sides and comparator work together, etc. It's excellent and I am always finding new ways to use it or small differences i...

I’ve been seeing them sell for around the $450-$500 mark recently. I’ve never seen one sell for $850 but I guess it’s possible. Just stay patient and one will pop up.

Re: Module which unexpectedly blew you away?

I usually have moments of being blown away with many modules but rarely is it consistent.

However I fell in love with the Erica Synths Black Stereo Delay. Every time it puts a smile on my face. I bought it because I liked the demos but I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do.

what I really would like is when the input would be no rate attenuator, but an attenuator for the LFO itself -
Initially that sounded like a good idea but the problem would be that you'd be attenuating everything equally and you might want different attenuation levels for each LFO.

I’m about three years into Eurorack and I finally bought one about a month and half ago. I never thought I really needed one but now I use it in every single patch and couldn’t imagine being without it. Basically I didn’t need Maths until I had Maths. I’m sure the Quadrax will be plenty awesome enou...

Well... you could use one oscillator as an LFO to modulate the other but that’s the extent of it.
