Re: Greatest electronic song ever.

Moments In Love by The Art Of Noise is the greatest electronic song ever. This is hilarious. Just went to youtube to listen to this song and was surprised to find out that I've heard it a thousand times before. Literally. Where I worked for years this song would play everyday. A lot of times more t...

Re: How do you use your Eurorack?

I write pop songs presented in a mostly typical format. Vocals, drums, guitar, bass, and synthesizers for the most part. My modular system feels more like an escape from working on those songs. Sometimes it delivers happy mistakes that end up being a seed for a new pop-song which is nice. Strangely ...

Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

If anyone here has the covid-19 boredom and has the time I would love to hear some demos of this oscillator through various filters. I can only hear harshness when I listen to demos of this oscillator but yet there's something in it that is still keeping me interested. I'd like to hear if this can ...

Re: Frap Tools USTA

funny the glide seems to be one of the most musical ones I've heard from a sequencer. Can't stop watching this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eFcg6IAKus It works perfectly in that example and that’s one of the videos that sent me in the direction of buying this module. I never said it was un...

Re: Frap Tools USTA

What kind of control do you want of the glide? A curved/exponential response instead of a linear response? Or do you want to set the length of the slide independent of the stage length? Setting the glide independent of stage length would be nice but if Im understanding Macios comment correctly then...

Re: Frap Tools USTA

I'm pretty certain that having the Gate length at 16 is a tie. Ah yeah I think you’re right. The gate turned all the way up ties it to the next step if I remember right. I’m literally two days worth of patching in with the manual in front of me so still figuring this out. It would be cool if Frap T...

Re: Frap Tools USTA

The way I've used it is: Stage 1: A Stage 2: B, with glide Stage 3: B, no glide That way, you can set Stage 2 to be the length of the glide. Working this way, you obviously lose one of the 16 stages. That’s a good idea. Is there a way to keep the gate open from the previous step without needing to ...

Re: Frap Tools USTA

As far as I know it, it's a non-configurable feature, however, if you were to change the length of the stage you may get different results. Just tried a shorter gate and it cuts off the note before it even hits its destination. Too bad. Kinda sucks that it takes almost the entire gate length possib...

Re: Chord oscillator for pad purposes

Not what you're asking for but a Doepfer A-111-4 with an Elektrofon Klang could give you a lot of control over chords.

I found out the secret sauce. Ok here goes: WMD Crater into Elysia Xfilter 500. :sb: :) Awww shiit. I just bought a new A/D converter that also just so happens to be a 500 series chassis! I bought it for the conversion, and now have 8 empty 500 slots.. hmmm... I know nothing much yet about 500 seri...

Re: "paradigm shift" modules from your experience

For me it was Wav players and Granular. I started with a ADDAC101, then got another, then mad a couple of modules using the WaveTrigger PCB from SparkFun. Then I got my first Nebulae v1. Bought another. Got a 4ms STS. Sold one Nebulae and bought a couple of v2 versions. Dismantled the WaveTrigger m...

Re: Cwejman SM-1

The more I use this the more it becomes clear it was worth the money. What a beautiful thing. I’m a bit confused on how to tame a specific feature though. There’s a switch that has an option for the LFO’s that says “on tune”. That seems to sync up the movement of the LFO to the 1v/octave sequence I...

Synthesis Technology E102 - VS?

I'm on the verge of getting this module but I wish I didn't have to sacrifice 14hp for it... but I will if need be. Are there any other modules out there that are less HP that could mostly do what this is capable of?

Re: If you were starting over; what would you do differently?

I often wonder this but I thought I knew what I was doing when I jumped in and I didn’t. And what I mean by that is I didn’t know what I wanted out of a modular system and I didn’t truly understand how I was going to use it. So there’s a side of me that thinks I should’ve read more and waited a litt...

I don't have experience with any of these except the USTA which I recently acquired and am still learning. I don't think the screen will be a significant part of the process but again I'm just learning it so maybe I'm wrong. The workflow of the USTA is what attracted me to it and so far it's everyth...

Re: Instruo arbhar granular processor

Me and my friend met in a semi-abandoned countryhouse halfway in Finland as the other was heading north and other south. We had a few hours of spare time, so we piled our instruments and quickly made some live improvisations – in this piece most of the "organic" sounding noise is from Instruo Arbha...
