Re: Adverts..

I don't have golden ears by any stretch but as I listened, I didn't think the sound was that great, no high end sizzle like a real Oberheim. I figured it was just the youtube compression. Same here. I saw this on GS the other day. I was curious what AD converters they were using to record this beca...

I like Air. Solid compositions and a good ear for sound design. Plus they have their own vibe which goes a long way with me.

I can start a Facebook account right now using the name Wowa Cwejman. Would that make him some kind of Synth Jesus? Because of a name of Facebook? He is risen!
Hahaha... wow ok I’m the fool for taking the bait. Good job troll.

Re: Future for Cwejman?

Instead of speculating how about highlighting some facts. You’re right. How could everyone have overlooked obvious and well known facts like who the executor of his estate is? Oh and there’s this. I guess this is not a real person that I bought Cwejman modules off of. Thanks for sharing the ...

For me out of the 5 or 6 I’ve had it’s Cwejman MMF2 and AJH Gemeni 2412.

Re: Capturing inspiration

For me modular tracks are written and recorded in the same session. Not like on the guitar or piano that I'll spend days or weeks working on a song. So what I do is record the modular tracks and then I don't listen to it for a few weeks. Since it was written and recorded in one session by the time t...

Re: Daft Punk split

100% respect to Daft Punk and their fans. Sorry about the sad news. I'm surprised and curious, though, about the huge emotions the split has inspired. I guess I didn't realize so many people cared so much about Daft Punk. I bought Homework when it came out - it was fun and sounded good, and I liked...

Re: Daft Punk split

They lost me at RAM but I loved much of their previous works. However I will never understand how "Around the World" has 30 million+ views and so many better DP songs have much less. This might explain why I don't have any hit songs myself.

Rolandish sounds good to me, although OBish would be even better being an SVF and all.
Take a look at the AJH Gemeni 2412 if you haven't done so already.

Re: Future for Cwejman?

Rex is a bit of a legend in his own right, audiophile and obsessed with the quality of his work. Totally agree. STS is still where the bar is set in the world of Serge IMO. Insanely priced but as top-notch as it gets. Wowa Cwejman clearly had the same mindset. My guess is that Maho keeps it going a...

Re: Daft Punk split

They've had a long run. It will be a kind of creative freedom to be able to work on their music while not under the expectations that come along with releasing a Daft Punk record.

They’ll be back though. Money always wins in the end.

And obvious. You caught me, it was the long con, join in 2018 to eventually guerilla market a 2021 indie movie and rake in the cash when they get that coveted 40+ demographic. It was the other thread about this movie that started a few hours after this one that made me wonder. And whether you are o...

Re: Club of the Snobs... oops, Knobs

When I receive a module that is packed exceptionally well it gives me a lot of faith in the company. I think it's a representation of other qualities or lack of. Just like when I go to a restaurant and the bathroom is in bad condition... I would probably think twice about returning regardless of how...

Re: Club of the Snobs... oops, Knobs

That’s nothing. I ordered a 15U case packed full of modules from Modcan. I was told I would have it in two months and paid for it. Ten months later it was shipped to me. A huge case full of modules showed up in a flimsy box with one single layer of the small bubbled bubble wrap around it. The case d...

British Noise Electronics Grit Filter

I've recently become interested in the BNE Gain Stage Amplifier and noticed that they have a filter as well. I didn't see any mention of this filter in the search I did so I'm curious if anyone here has this filter and how they like it. Their Gain Stage Amplifier sounds great so I'm curious about th...

Re: Complex oscillators: Mindphaser, Brenso, Furthurrrr. Key differences?

I haven't jumped on a complex oscillator yet. It's a tough call for me because I only want one and they all sound good in their own way. However my ear keeps coming back to the Furthrrr Generator after the newness of the latest Complex Oscillator wears off. I'll wait for some user demos of the Mindp...

The reason I love his videos so much is because he clearly has talent in the area of composition and often displays that while demoing a module. Here's to hoping his tough times are figuring out how to finish the mix on his album.
