Question - what are the features that arn't accessible on the front panel but can be used via the program card? I'd assume it's something like voltage control over the envelope segment times, possibly the number of sequencer stages, what else?

Very cool! Another thing that would go along with those are the Dogvoice from the Dogslit. Very similar to the filter's on the Rollz. I love the sound of the Dogslit, but apperently it's not something that can be made other then the Dogvoice, something about having to circuit bend the Swoop and Anti...

For you folks who want different length loops, check out the Boomerang 3 looper, it's about the same price as the 2880 but with a different feature set.

The OR is what's called "Analog Logic" or Fuzzy Logic," it simply outputs the highest voltage of the two envelopes.

What not just build two filters and then patch them like that?

That way you have more options and they can be used for something else when not using them as a Variable Bandwidth Filter.

Also- The Rungler takes two oscillators as binary (on/off, or square) inputs. One clocks the shift register, the other determins is the shift register is high or low, on or off. Think of it like the sample input on a S+H, only with digital signals. Three stages of the shift register are converted in...

The Rungler is a simple shift register based random. You'd want a Noisering for this function. You can't really do it with the Doepfer 149 because you can't insert your own data into the Doepfer. You need two oscillators, both triangle waves go into a comparator, that square signal is the audio that...

Those look beautiful!

Both of these are shrouded in mystery to me, I was wondering if you could explain a bit about what's going on with them, what sort of ciruits are used as how you go about stringing them together.

Some feedback video would be awsome! I too have a few questions about it, mostly about Random section. When a pulse is plugged into the "smpl" jack and triggers the S+H, what is it sampling? The same noisey triangle that the fluctuating random is generated from? Or is it tied into the external input...

While on the topic, I have a question about the Animal Noise Source. On the "Random Source" Module, in there is the "SH Noise Source," which from my understanding is a sawtooth VCO being modulated by noise for equal probability sampling, 266 style. The Animal has the white and pink outs, and the aut...

Awsome stuff everyone!

I love self generating type material, one sets the parameters then let the machine wander.

For those looking for more information on this, I thought I'd link Todd's video explaining the basic set-up.

That switch is for the "WS" input. The saw output of the internal oscillator is normaled to this, which would be a -5/+5 signal. If you want to run other signals through the 'digital waves' you'd plug that into the WS in. Using audio signals such as oscillators or the output of the filter you want i...

Sorry it took so long to respond///

One reason that you'd want both In and Trig In is that you can use the In as sort of a sync while using them as a LFO/VCO. Trig Out to Trig In to get it cycling, then you have the In to stick signals in for pseudo-sync.

Good luck!

When you say the noise is low, are talking about using it with DotCom? I'd imagine it'd be aimed towards the Moogers which want a 5vpp signal, same as using it as a sound source, ran through their preamps.

If you pan them hard left and right you should hear the frequencies cross eachother in the stereo field when being modulated.

I've not used the Serge FSR but that's what the up/down outputs do on others I've used.

I really enjoy the bits and pieces of sounds I've heard from Macumbista on his website, not to mention the beautiful synths he's made.
