Re: Sequencing controller and MIDI LFOs

You're welcome! I can't remember how many lfos it came do simultaneously, it's been a while. it also has programmable arps, you can perform and save sequences of CC modulations with the controllers, loads of stuff that i haven't seen in other controllers. It's powerful. But it is a pig of tool to wo...

Re: Sequencing controller and MIDI LFOs

You know, I just remembered an old bit of kit I used to have that might interest you. Firstly, I must warn you i found it a bit of a pita to get my head around, but it does exactly what you’re looking for (I think). Behold, the bitstream 3x! Anyone remember these? I sold mine years ago, but I used i...

My tech said the calibration was pretty difficult. He also had to rebuild the mono oscillator.

Good luck!

Re: So, I accidentally bought a FR Orb

Thanks for mentioning this @plord, it sounds awesome, possibly even better than pattern chaining on my ex-xoxbox. I miss this feature on the Social entropy Engine (it only chains between the pattern numbers you select, like 1-3 or 2-6) which is too inflexible. I’ll definitely give this a try tomorro...

Re: Sampler / looper / sound-manipulator

I can’t answer the question directly as I don’t know enough about what you’re looking for exactly. But I did a 5 seconds classifieds search and found a second hand rc505 for 339€ (Which is pretty much exactly 300 gbp) so if this fits the bill then why not just search the classifieds?

Re: So, I accidentally bought a FR Orb

great little sequencer thing! i have two. both have the glowing faceplates. I saw they were selling some limited edition green ones, they look great! Some other nice colours too, I have the standard black. First twiddles, really fun and instant. I’m a bit disappointed it only ha...

Not trying to be harsh, but a simple picture of the back of the unit should not be completely absent from your website/marketing, I think. You are definitely right. We will have the last (hopefully) hardware revision ready very soon and we plan to have proper photos taken. The current proto has onl...

Re: So, I accidentally bought a FR Orb

It’s an enjoyable and very tiny thing so it doesn’t take up much space and it looks rather pretty with all those blue leds. I’m encouraged by the outpourings of affection for this Orb, that’s what I was hoping to hear. What’s this about loading two firmwares on?

So, I accidentally bought a FR Orb

I thought there's no chance of winning the auction so i put in a bid. There we go, first world problems! I've already got a great cv/gate and midi sequencer, and an RE-303, so it's kind of surplus to requirements. Maybe someone has a nice idea how i can use it with modular, semi modular, or midi ins...

Some great ideas here, but I still haven’t decided. I have however achieved several moments of hovering with intent over „buy it now“ links for an architect‘s lamp and a small cylinder lamp with pretty colours...

Happy to see all ideas, thanks for sharing

Re: Great table lamps - give me your ideas!

This looks great. Changeable colors. WiFi and HomeKit compatible. Inexpensive https://www.newegg.com/p/35B-008K-00022 Nice suggestion, i just might get one like this. I was also looking at architect's lights, those with a few adjustable sections and a long bulb. Together they would provide the func...

Great table lamps - give me your ideas!

I want a new lamp for my music corner, it needs to have a small footprint, provide a decent amount of light, but also look really cosy and nice. Maybe one of those Philips Hue lights (edit: i meant living color) could work for example. Any good recommendations here? This is what i have right now, it...

Re: How did you feel when you first started with modular?

I remember that my back hurt for at least a week. I did not start small.... I started small, but can empathize with that! I’ve just reconfigured my weird custom desk thing where everything sits, as the modular was too far away to reach comfortably = instant back pain. Now it’s nicely positioned and...

Our plan is very much to finish this in 2021! But as in 2020 it depends on how much time we can spend on development and productions vs. how much time we need to spend at home taking care of the kids because of lockdowns... anyway happy new year to you, too! Yes, I'd love a scope, i would have to investigate prices and models but yes, seeing what I'm doing sounds like it would be really helpful.

Probably won't be my next purchase but thanks for the suggestion!

Re: How did you feel when you first started with modular?

I'm the OP, back again. A couple of days in, i am absolutely loving it so far. I am still waiting for the maths to arrive, which is what really excited me, but the Plaits and Elements (especially elements) are wonderful, they play nicely with my semi modular things and I'm making some pretty great s...

Re: Expressive E Osmose

It’s been so long, I’ve now decided to enter the world of eurorack instead, and have already spent my Osmose budget on a case and modules. Because of this I’ll either cancel my preorder (a real shame, looks like it’ll be awesome, and the price was discounted by a lot) or maybe someone will want to t...

Re: How did you feel when you first started with modular?

The time for trepidation is over, i am now officially in business! Well, sort of: the case arrived yesterday, and first modules today. Unfortunately the module seller didn't include any screws, and I don't have the right ones at home. Here's a picture, do you think I can just tape them in place for ...

Re: CV to MIDI Converter for External Drum Machine

I’ve got a tr9090 as my main drums right now, it’s midi only. No triggers or cv. I’m planning on keeping using this with midi, and using other instruments which can play with modules (such as DFAM, MC202) together with interesting modules like maths to do unusual things for additional rhythmic sounds.

This looks like it could do what you’re asking: http://vpme.de/trig31/ I’m completely new to eurorack and just looking up and thinking about these types of things myself for the first time. So if I’m off the mark with this suggestion then my apologies, but this looks to me like a perfect option Edit...

Re: Mini mixer-jack/mixer-cables?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question, but couldn't you use a cable with built in "volume" control? I've got one, which cost a few Euros at the electronics shop, and I've used it on the MC202 to vary the amount of cv flowing through the cable. Of course, in this example it changes the pitch, but y...

Re: How did you feel when you first started with modular?

I know so many great music producers that got into eurorack and just ceased making music, full stop. I was afraid that the same would happen to me so I put it off for about a decade. When I decided to get into it I also set a rule for myself: if I wanted to buy a new module I had to finalize a trac...
