Re: doing stickslip sounds with euro

I personally would go with a stream of random triggers like for example plaits dust model or ifm dunst can produce and run it into rings. Clouds or any granulator with small window sizes will work too i assume. paranormal patroler it is very much possible to change both size and texture at the same ...

Re: Mungo Enterprises c1, convolution, delay, sampler

Firstly: THANK YOU for the video! This is the quality of demos your modules deserve, explaining all features in a concise and straightforward way! Secondly: Holy cow, live convolution?! I thought that was somewhat impossible? Id love to try this module somewhere, looks like some serious innovation g...

Re: MI Rings in non-ambient music?

Tbh i do mostly percussion with it, love it to bits! One thing i like to do for variety is feed a continuous signal to the input like some noise or really anything i can find then treat the resulting drone like a normal oscillator. You can get very aggressive and bright stuff but also smooth and mel...

While this may sound like a minor detail, trust me its not. The CSL has no attenuators for most of its cv inputs while the DPO has attenuators on every input! This makes a huge difference in both studio and performance use. You will patch more freely and spontaneously with integrated attenuators. Pe...

Also in the video: Aranea, which looks like a 4x4 (?) matrix mixer and Concretio, seemingly a dual envelope follower with gate outputs and control over envelope following speed. Good detective work! Aranea is a 5x5 matrix mixer. There is a matrix mixer on its way indeed. But this is an old prototyp...

Sounds like a fun patch, percussion wise i could imagine adding a bit of gentle square wave audio rate mod to the fm or radiate inputs to get some more inharmonic content. The squares could also go to the optomix strike input and then the resulting output envelope could ping the qpas. This way, with...

Hey joey
I used to have this problem, the trick is using a quarter note clock with a 50% cycle ideally. This prevents any phase shifting and you can multiply/dicide the clock inside the module :tu:

sounds good from the demo. Their other drum modules are a cool mix of out there and on the floor so im curious to see what quirks this one is hiding.
And I agree, Moloch is a fantastic name for a kick.

Post-vco: As others have said, this will more or less act like an additional waveshaper. No modified dynamics, purely static waveshaping. Post-vcf: As others have said, this can negate your filtering but applied gently, you can achieve nice accentuation of resonance and cutoff frequency resulting in...

You dont need any knowledge of synthesis to make sounds with any modules. We tend to flatter ourselves but the whole synthesis thing is really not that complicated and with most modules, a ten minute introduction will have anybody make some initial sounds and sequences. Id even argue that you need l...

I use frames for this. The addac basically just goes up or down but frames can have any state per frame, with variable interpolations. my vote would be the "jitter" cv input, as i rarely touch that parameter, and even more rarely hit it with cv. but that's just my 2cents! Agreed. Jitter is the least voltage controlled parameter for me. Maybe ! But I do sometimes use it but very rarely use Rate.... but then I usually use clock in v...

Having spent some time with one, i can share my personal perspective on the thing: It sounds good, it is fun to play with and fun to patch with. switch to alternate green mode in monophony.
turning down brightness will give you a sine wave, turning up damping will make it continuously oscillate.
Ta-Da, pure sine for calibration.

My VCFQ works great for feedback but it is quite resonant so you might wanna be careful because it can self resonate in e feedback path pretty quickly.
Bastl cinnamon is great as a flat vanilla filter or for seriously bizarre feedback experiments using the character switches. Metallic!

Assuming you have two sequencers, why not reset one on a /7 from your clock divider? Or any other note for that matter.
Alternatively, program a gate sequencer to reset the cv sequencer firstly on the second eigth, then the 3rd eigth then the 4th eigth and so on.
