ok so it is exactly the same. Even the labels are the same text. I thought it was supposed to be changed to make AFX mode easier to use???

Re: New Novation / Aphex Collab Coming Soon ???

For anyone on the fence about getting a bs2 for afx mode, maybe the reskin makes it easier to use and as a fan, the cool factor of the limited edition would justify paying full price.

Re: Erica Sample Drum

Hey guys, i'm having pretty big problems with the sample drum right now, after updating to 1.9. - Freezing while loading samples, freezing when navigating pages and loading projects, but worst of all I'm unable to manually edit slices on samples! It keeps booting me back to the first sample of the ...

Re: Feeding my monster

If you want to approach this way, I would think you would need a really great EQ/compression recording chain setup so you can hear your mix as it would be the final product. Otherwise you will record the stereo track, try to keep fixing it in the PC, and then realize you have to re-record some of th...

Kermit mk3 but I understand the osc ranges need to be chosen either audio or lfo. Kind of a buzzkill to not be able to do the full range naturally.

Re: Intellijel 1U LPG spotted!

This is just a quick random sequence. The envelope is a Quadrax in the "alternate" AD mode triggered from Marbles, oscillator is a basic sine on sine FM from Shapeshifter. First is the 1U LPG, followed by the same envelope/osc into a Natural Gate for comparison. LPG.wav For clarification: is this w...

How do you do that?..... Audacity? I've been converting files for my Nutella Tusnami one by one in Audacity to convert to mono, sample rate, and remove the metadata.... batch processing would certainly save me a lot of time. I recommend batch-converting your files to mono. Audacity -> Fi...

Re: [Project] Music Thing Radio Music 4hp sample player

Wondering about the Radio Music 2017 firmware and stereo files. How are stereo files actually handled? Are they downmixed to mono at output time, or does one of the channels get removed before playback? I searched the thread, couldn't see an answer... I recommend batch-converting your files to mono.

The more musical you want it to be, the more subtle you should be in modulating away from the init patch. The raw waves sounded really nice when I had mine.

Re: Qu-Bit 2020: Aurora, Data Bender, Surface, Cascade

Sure, the distinction gets muddy. But in a video the Qubit rep said it could do 5 minutes of recording, which seems to push beyond a typical delay range and more into straight sampling. I guess we'll see. Mimeophone does 41 seconds, so what's the difference? Glitching back in time 5 minutes on a ro...

Re: show your interest - Ableton-style muting

I'd wait to see what LPZW can do, but if you end up making it, I suggest adding a simple clock divider on the trigger input to save people from having to use a whole other overkill module for that 'global quantization' adjustment.

Anyone have experience with the decksaver style covers for these from Intellijel? It shows that it slices the loop in 16 divisions and keeps the progression through those slic...

This is generally what I'm looking for, so I guess that's why I didn't completely understand.
The other thing SampleDrum has built in is a VCA and envelope, so if you make it a shorter decay, you don't hear subsequent sounds that might have the "wrong" timing.

Re: Samplers with time stretch

Can you please help me understand why the time stretch is needed for drums? Erica Sample Drum already lets you chop up the sample. ALM Squid Salmple will autochop based on transients. If you have a slice for every hit then you can play back at any speed or rhythm you want. I get that something could...

I recently picked up a new microgranny. When I'm sending it MIDI from my PC, it gets overloaded and glitches out easily, requiring reboot. Is this normal behavior? I am sending it gates with stuttering repeats for drums and either changing the sample with pitch, or changing the start point with CC 1...

Hi, I am having lots of fun with my friends’ equipment! One thing I want to figure out is how to get the Arturia KeyStep’s pitch control to work with Bastl microGranny samples over MIDI. The Mod control works, adding modulation to my samples. But the pitch control doesn’t seem to do anything. Am I ...

yeah those modules are cool but would use up space I don't have in my Palette, and they don't take a time signature to count measures

Of course this is overkill if all you need is a display. But maybe you were thinking about one more sequencer anyway 8-)
