Yes, I'm sure everything that disagrees with your prejudices is fake news.

Don't give stuff a chance. It's more fun to hate.

Not defending Elektron or the box, but seeing some comments above about it being crippled, limited, crappy experience, not sounding good etc. makes me think what is a good box for you guys? I guess we are all extremely spoiled for being able to slash so hard what is a piece of amazing gear that cos...

A pair of A-110-4's is even better! Interesting... Do you have an example of the kind of sounds you get from a pair of A110-4s? What do you mean? It's a carrier-modulator pair. That's going to be more useful for FM than just one oscillator - that's how FM works. I'll take that as a "no" then. :roll...

This should be possible to do with a delay that has voltage control over delay time, and a slow lfo. Try panning the original hard left and copy hard right 100% wet - it will start out in the center, and then split off into stereo as it goes out of phase. For the HP and price check out the Synthrotek DLY, 4HP BBD module. The Synthrotek DLY uses a PT2399 chip, which is pleasantly low-fi, but not BBD. They misleadingly call it a BBD in the ModularGrid description, but on their own site they say "The PT2399 Echo IC was designed to mimic old-school anal...

"His Majesty" is someone's personal pronoun choice. Just saying. https://www.thecollegefix.com/post/29230/ Is quoting slanted political sources without identifying them as such a violation of the no politics rule? If not, it should be. Thank you all for the kind words. After waiting a week, staring at the build photos a bunch and doing a bit of bench testing, I figured it out. Failure

So long story short - I built a module. Build was smooth. Checked all my connections at the end along with polarity of all caps, ICs and diodes. Good to go. Powered up the module and.... Crickets. No lights, nothing. Dead module. Double checked everything. Reheated all the soldier points. Switched t...

Agree that a proper sampled piano in Euro is impractical.

But, the Korg Z1 had some nice physical models of electric pianos. Not ultra-realistic, but very responsive and tweak-able. I'd love to see something like those in a modular.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised that model railways are mostly a white person's hobby, if you think about what railroads brought from the point of view of, for example, an American Indian. They were very much about opening "new" lands (new to white people) for colonization and industrialization. In t...
