Re: standalone benjolin powersupply

I dont remember, but the loop option is not as fun as it sounds, in practice its a very short repeat, hardly a pattern. Even if its 8 bits or whatever that doesnt equate to more than a few notes(ish).

Re: standalone benjolin powersupply

Just decoupling capacitors, theyre elsewhere as well, I cant remember what the schematic looked like, they put it in the power section in some versions.

Re: standalone benjolin powersupply

Ive had no trouble using the standard 7660 circuit for the benjolin, even with a few addons. Use 9V not 12V.

Re: JH Living Vocoder [BUILD THREAD]

I detract my complaint, theres 3 channels that filter control doesnt affect, so thats the problem.
And only the JFETs were the problem, had spares :)

Re: JH Living Vocoder [BUILD THREAD]

Well, if the voiced is always on, theres always a signal to the excitation bus, even if there is no speech. Even if all the channel volume pots are at zero youll hear the excitation bus coming through. Is that the same for you as well? Id thought that the channel CV would shut it off by inverting or...

Re: JH Living Vocoder [BUILD THREAD]

I have what I believe is a problem. The voiced detector is always on unless the unvoiced takes over, regardless of if there is a speech input or not. I see it seems like Tekmans works like that as well in the demo, but surely the circuit should work so that theres only detecting/vocoding going on wh...

Any NeinOhNein Clap panels around anywhere?

As title, anyone have a leftover panel from a kit when they ported to 5U or something?

Re: Gunk all over Minibrute PCB + non-oscillating LFO

If the LFO doesnt affect any paramater as an LFO lll bet the rotary switch for choosing LFO waveform is broken. I had mine on the arp octaves die on me. Easy enough to test though, just turn and measure continuity on the pins under.

Re: [BACK AGAIN] Eurorack: Haible Living VCOs by R*S

Sorry for the edit, heres your guy. R56 I think it says?
Cant see a 2nf cap near it. I am a bit sceptical to C8, as its not on the MFOS shaper, but Id try 2nf across R56 and see if it helps.

Re: [BACK AGAIN] Eurorack: Haible Living VCOs by R*S

Edit: Didnt read the barcode pcbs part.

But it used the same shaper from what I can see in the electro-music thread, so look for a pair of 4148 diodes and a 20K resistor going from them to the negative rail.

I could read the K5 and the ENV6, couldnt find my CZ, might have thrown it away.
K5 was ok, just uselessly noisy on the top harmonic (or two).

Re: Roland Edirol V4 Feedback question

You can only use effects on and mix 2 channels at the same time. With feedback that uses 2 inputs and one of the outputs. But you can also use preview on a third input out and turn off the on-screen text. That would only be useful for routing, but if you want to switch between 3 signals to two place...

Re: Triple Wave Folder - DIY

Since I had to resort to wayback machine for these docs, up they go. Calibration notes: the trimmers: one (the furthest from the power connects) is for "offset" and the inside is for "symmetry". the BEST way to calibrate it is with a clean bipolar 10vp-p triangle as your input source and with a scop...

the gate input behaves like a gate to trigger converter. the incomming gate is not accepted. Yup, so seems like they just added the trigger part as hardware and didnt normal it to the gate input on the 3310. Would like to open up and see if it really is a 3310 though. Dont think it would work to ju...

Well if theyve cloned the 3310, it should be as simple as normaling the trig input to the gate input, which they probably already did for the keyboard? (Edit: Meant midi ofc)
Retriggering during a gate is actually a nice option to have, but suspect they tried to simplify.

I changed all mine for the ones I linked. Shorter and have to bent legs and add something to brace, but worked fine. My main problem though, was the C945 transistors, changed them for 3904 (with one leg passed to other side and backwards) and it all started behaving.

I was planning to try the P160KN2 series, knurled, 100k and whatever height is needed.
Seems like legs will bend in position. No body legs, but otherwise a fit.
