NLC "Delay No More 3"
* 18hp -> 10hp repackt
* For troubleshooting, tried to build each parts in module as module.

thanks andrewF!

Re: NLC Cellular Automata question

The CA patterns need a seed to start them off, the way the patterns evolve depend on the frequency and input of the seed signals. Without any seeds the CA patterns will eventually reach their conclusion and halt. There are 4 seed inputs, one on each corner. The idea is to link up 2 or more CA module...

awesome as always, i’m excited about that filter especially. what’s an NLC Lux??
Puts out a CV in response to lights and movement in the room. The one you can see was a very rough proto-type.

Re: Best randon generator for musical phrases

Just throwing this here = Cellular Automata - this is an analog CA circuit producing 16 gates and three CV signals. It is not random but is very hard to predict what is going to happen, especially when you inject seed signals into the process. 20190710_151540.jpg 20190710_151402.jpg http://www.youtu...

Anything new here? A few - Spasm - this is a vactrol based jerk circuit, tho the 'vactrols' are simply LEDs and LDRs built in-between the PCBs. It is designed to respond to incoming gates or CV rather than running on its own 20181231_151650.jpg 20181231_151703.jpg Signum Hyperchaos - This is an exp...

Meanwhile, here is a purely fictional module and it's not even euro.

Re: NLC Triple Sloth

Sometimes R7 needs to be changed to get a more balanced chaos. Some builds will sit in one chaotic well for several hours, flip over to the other side for a quick orbit then back to the original well for another few hours. I like ones that spend a roughly equal amount of time in each well, so adjust...

There must be a bracket to mount 1u modules, in 3u, stacked. I hope?
Yes there is. I saw pics of one on FB the other day........can't remember who makes them tho.
I suspect I will make a 4HP 3U version of PiLLs, it delivers a lot of entertainment.

nonlinearcircuits NLC 2020 modules

I'm having a slow start to the year but here's the 1st one 1U PiLLs This is a raw 12HP 1U version of the Mobius PiLL. It uses two cross-coupled Phase locked loop (PLL) ICs that go in and out of chaotic zones at audio rates. If you like making electronic noise, this module is for you. IMG_0858sm.jpg ...

Re: Help me troubleshoot NLC Delay No More 3

Sounds about right for what you are doing. Synthiq is correct about using the 2nd row of inputs to break the loop and use each delay individually. This module is designed for odd glitchy chunky noises rather than sweet clean delays. You can get some nice delays from it with some careful tweaking, bu...
