Re: Just a Metasonix RK7 Tube VCO module

Any update on when the RK7 will be available? I have the money if you have the goods.

Where's the horsecock bulge?
I mean it's right there if you look about a third up from the bottom.
I expected it to be bigger

Re: Modern keepers!

Peak I literally just unboxed this yesterday, but I've lusted after it for so long and watched and read so much about it that I'm certain this is a keeper. Boomstar 5089 This nails the Moog sound in a very convenient form factor. I love its immediacy. I sold my Little Phatty after I got this. Keyst...

Re: New ALM module - mmMidi

Has anyone tried using multiple mmMidi modules? There doesn't seem to be a built-in way to chain them, unless I missed something. But you could use an external midi splitter and set each module up for different channels, right? Edit: I should add that I'm debating between a few of these or a Polyend...

Eric, any update on when the RK7 will be out? Is is what's next, or is your new standalone synth next?

Difference in MIDI clock quality between DAWs?

Has anyone done tests to compare the quality of the MIDI clock in various DAWs? I'm wondering if DAW x produces a steadier clock than DAW y. I realize there are other factors, such as the MIDI interface being used and USB vs DIN. In general, what combination of software and hardware has produced the...

I made a video showing the stuck notes issue and posted it to the Squarp forum just now. The stuck notes and the lack of DIN Sync support (or as euromorcego says, lack of clock options in general) are the two biggest issues for me right now. FM Aid actually sounds quite a bit like a wavefolder on its own, when you use it with just one input.

I'll give another plug for FM Aid. It's a small and inexpensive way to get FM and wavefolder sounds using your existing oscillators. One other option that no one has mentioned in this thread is Modcan FMVDO. Because it's digital, you can can use quantized ratios of modulator to carrier frequency to ...

Ok I tried it out and it works well. Still, I'd really prefer if Hermod could take in DIN Sync. Most of the time I'll want Hermod to be the master. But when I'm working with my DAW, I use Silent Way to put out DIN Sync through an ES-8, so I'll want to slave Hermod to that. Right now I can't. I also ...

Just found this in the Squarp forums regarding syncing Hermod to Pam: http://squarp.community/t/how-to-start-pamelas-new-workout-in-time-from-hermod-solved/1285 Syncing tempo works well (clock gate out 1/32 to Pamela clock in ppqn 08). But how do I start Pamela to run in sync when I start Hermod? At...

Yes but... I don't think there's a way to make it automatically start and stop with Pam. I have to press play on the Hermod ahead of time to "arm" it, then it will start when Pam starts, but it will keep going when Pam starts until I press play again on the Hermod. And then I press it again to arm ...

I got mine yesterday and I'm really looking forward to spending time with it. I think it will become the heart of my system. But one thing I noticed already is that it doesn't seem like a good choice to serve as the master clock. You can sync devices to it via midi or usb, but modules don't typicall...

I'll throw in another option for you. I've also had a LP Stage II for years. I love its sounds, but ultimately I also decided to replace it because I wanted knob-per-function. I went with a Boomstar 5089. The sound is amazing on the 5089, not necessarily better nor worse than the LP. They're both gr...

I made this track a couple of years ago. It kind of sounds like the Knight Rider theme. Not my best work. I didn't use any filters, with one exception: white noise through an MA-35 as part of the snare sound.

Right now I'm heading towards Boomstar 5089, Boomstar SEM, Novation Peak, and Streichfett, plus my Eurorack. I don't have it all but that's my plan. No more keyboard synths for me.

My Boomstar (SE80, but otherwise the same MKI) has such a rich sound that even when I'm not dialing in the sound I want or need (it can take some time, I'm picky), I'm still enjoying what I hear. And its richness is not matched by anything else I own! I'd love three of those oscillators... hmm, may...

I haven't had it for a year. I've only had it for a few days. I took over a year to finally decide to get it!

I agree with describing it's sound as big. That's a good word to describe it.

Congrats with the purchase! Do you think it is worth it's price? Slim phatty costs much less, that's why I'm asking I got it in new-in-box condition off eBay from a seller in Israel for $590 plus $50 shipping. The seller said he owned a music store that closed. Definitely seemed a little suspicious...
