Re: Eurorack shops
Doesn't look like BPNYC has been mentioned here yet. I've had great purchasing and communication experiences with them. Fast shipping. http://www.boutiquepedalnyc.us/ My nearby go-to is Detroit Modular, I've also had good luck with Midwest Modular. Over the years I've purchased the most stuff from A...

Re: Instruo Saïch - Quad Oscillator
I had one very briefly. The tuning procedure, though time consuming, went fairly smoothly. Sounded really nice when it was tuned. Amazingly small size and shallow enough to fit into the frustratingly depthless 4ms pods. I feel that sawtooth and squares are not enough for me though and that it needs ...

Re: Pulsar-23 by Soma
Maybe my point and intent wasn't as clear as it could have been. This is a matter of gravity combined with the adapters. Personally, I can't use it, maybe to most it's not a concern. But for anyone that has a Pulsar on order, you might simply want to consider ordering one in advance. I tried some ad...

The one I ordered got delivered to the wrong location - the writing on the box was a bit scribbly. Thankfully the recipient delivered it to me! This is the most awkward power adapter I have seen. The Lyra one looks normal but what the... I grabbed another because it looks like a problem waiting to h...

Re: Hemisphere for Ornament and Crime
Is it possible in some way to use the MIDI capabilities without a computer? I've tried hooking this up to an iConnectivity MIDI4+ via the MIDI host connector and didn't see notes getting into o_C like I do sending them from the computer. But USB MIDI confuses me with the host/device restrictions so ...

Re: Less gear - better focus?
I've simplified my setup immensely, and also my approach. There are several things that keep me out of creative stagnation. 1. I have a ton of modules that I've accumulated over the years and I keep them lined up in another room for a personal shopping experience. Instead of spending dollars I'm jus...

Chromagnon is expected to ship “early 2021”, FWIW.... Yeah, even pre-pandemic, LZX estimated production dates were...optimistic. I’ve been waiting 18 months for my TBC2, and no way will I have it this year. I’m going with Summer or Fall 2021 based on the glimpses of the development process. That's ...

Re: Nerdsynth NerdSEQ - eurorack tracker/sampler
Is the video output that was demo'd years ago still going to be a thing? It'd be really great to be couch sequencing with the gamepad on a big ol screen. I don't mind at all voiding the warrantee if soldering is required. :eurosmoke: Goes into production this week, probably available in February. N...

These comments had me second guessing whether I should order an Assimil8or but I did it anyway and haven’t had any issues with screen brightness. It’s fine even at lower settings. Did either of contact support and get it fixed? I had someone from Rossum PM me asking for details (serial number, wher...

Will you be accepting applications through at least the end of this upcoming week? So feel free to reach out if you are interested. I started off with zero experience. My first job was actually Playboy The Mansion. Hugh Hefner was making a video game (yeah...wtf) and through a strange series of events I went from not having a job to working in a music studio to bring Hefs pervert...

Even set to “11” the display is really hard to see in any condition other than dark studio. Is there any possibility to increase this brightness range? If you really can't see it other than in a darkened studio, it sounds like there may be an issue with the unit. Re: Balanced transformer outputs: I have Q's and would like your A's
I first tested this approach with a PAC SNI-1/3.5 ground loop isolator and it got rid of nearly all my problems. I honestly could not hear any notable difference in the frequency response with it in our out as close as I examined. Then I bought a Joranalogue TX 2 and that dropped my noise floor even...

I wonder if the display can be brightened enough to see in daylight via an update. It does dim before the screensaver kicks in for whatever reason so it seems they can control it. Max setting is eleven, which... come on. This is a common point in the main thread so it’s not that mine is defective. O...

My best feeling module the Macbeth Backend. Generally modules with large panel mounted knobs, logically placed and spaced out feel right. Modor Comb filter feels really good to me as well. I do prefer more functionally dense modules though, especially in portable racks, and I think the factory Mutab...

Thanks for the explanation mdoudroff . I received one today and your observations seem accurate. On a good note, it's built very well and looks sharp. The knobs are panel mounted and the panel is nicely printed. It's pretty compact and the price is pretty reasonable for what you get. For me things k...
