Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Re: Behringer Roland System 100 clone

yeah the behringer modules are weird in a similar way to the roland/malekkos. I get that it looks similar to the vintage rolands, but eurorack panels have been mostly organized in a different way so these still look and feel very strange. Probably they want to sell the full set so it has to work in ...

the real weird thing about these is that they seem solid products, but designed for the market of 10 years ago.

The 707 looks like it could be useful, but all music in the demos sounds so lame that it's hard to get excited

this looks super cool. I love that it doesn't really try to mimic modular hardware but it's got it's own way of working and doing things.

But why all the secrecy though? No specs on the machine, no info on the developer, I mean, why even say anything at this point?

Let me show you something cool that I can’t show you or tell you about :goo:

Aiight, keep it then :despair: :guinness:

Every now and then I get the urge to buy an sh101 that comes up for sale, and pay a stupid amount of money for a synth that’s not worth it on features alone.

This Behringer reissue could help with that.

[Elektron has a proprietary battery that will attach to the machine which a feature many users requested on Elektronauts. I don’t know how you could accomplish this without a proprietary battery. Come on. This is not a huge deal, it's fine really. But literally anybody else in the industry who has ...

I think it's a cool box. It's slightly weird that they put this out so soon after the digitakt, but it makes sense if they want to push their samples collections / marketplace more. The thing that really bugs me is that battery power situation. the proprietary TBA powerpack thingie feels like a way ...

Is this just a lesser digitakt or does it have something different / more ?

i think grooveboxes are not what she's looking for, if she wants to do disco style stuff.
she's looking for organic, vintage sounds. so it's either samples or vintage synths / drum machines / bass and guitar.

i took advantage of the basically full free demo and played with pigments over the holidays, but i'm still on the fence. I like the interface, and there's a lot of scope for doing weird patching with loads of modulation, but i found I can't get patches to sound as good as I can with Serum. I think P...

I’ve got a Yamaha Mt100 that has 4 inputs and 4 outputs but they don’t work at the same time. I’m not an expert on tape multi trackers but the only way I can get the tape outs is by physically unplugging the jacks from the inputs. Just a thing to consider if you wanted pass through functionality.

People are almost universally saying it has one of the best GUIs for programming and feedback, sound is more subjective, but this is a full 6 osc VA and or Wavetable with 8 VA Arturia filters like the SEM. This sounds really appealing to me. I honestly could never get into some of the arturia emula...

There’s really no right answer to this question. Just get the one you like best from features / demos and play with it. If it ends up not working out for you you’ll at least have a more precise idea of what you want in your next purchase.

I'm not saying Lindell is garbage. Apologies if my post came across that way. But the advice to just get the cheapest thing that can possibly hold and power a 500 series is bad advice. You should never cheap out on foundational elements of your sound gear. yeah but... Lindell is actually the cheape...

Re: Buying a Juno 60 - Tips?

I’ve decided to finally sell off a bunch of gear I’m not really using and buy a Juno 60. I’ve always wanted one, and I now have some space for it and should be able to swing it financially. My only advice is try looking up local classifieds first. Maybe somebody has it not that far away from you an...

I a have demoed this briefly and it’s really good. I have all the unfiltered stuff so the sound palette of the algos is roughly the same, even though byome has more types of fx. The modulation system looks vastly improved though, and it opens up a lot more possibilities, it’s just so fun working wit...

Sounding better is highly subjective, but if, hypothetically, the moog one sounded even marginally better than the A6 the price difference woul...
