Re: Nerdsynth NerdSEQ - eurorack tracker/sampler

Is the video output that was demo'd years ago still going to be a thing? It'd be really great to be couch sequencing with the gamepad on a big ol screen. I don't mind at all voiding the warrantee if soldering is required. :eurosmoke: Goes into production this week, probably available in February. N...

Re: Benjolin love

Hi all, I see recent interest in the Benjolin here. There’s another thread on discussion of production. Just to loop you all in; I’m happy to do a run of PCB and FP. Looking to do a run for edu workshop as Rob intended for DIY knowledge. Sure we could go virtual and make it inclusive. Could print f...

Re: Experience with the Disting EX? Is it fun?

Not fun, pure utility. I use it when I find myself thinking "I wish I had one more x" or "I just read about this technique and i wanna try it but i'm missing this specific function". Totally worth it though to fill in holes when building up a patch.

I don't get any overlap in sounds , they both are fantastic, LIP is the most unique osc I've ever touched tho tbh, wild the sorts of sounds that come out of it.

Re: Windows 10 Configuration app issues and more

The port was strangely generically labeled for sending and receiving midi data but once I figured it out and blocked the dc inputs it's all working, now to figure out exactly how all this routing works. User error.

Windows 10 Configuration app issues and more

I am getting audio <10hz on multiple inputs with nothing plugged in, easy enough to filter out everything below that but am curious what could be causing this. Image below showing what that looks like. Also the configuration app doesn't seem to be communicating with my es-9 and every time I open it ...

Re: Autechre - recreate on Eurorack?

I guess Richard Devine comes pretty close to Autechre in terms of crazy sound design chops, so perhaps it's worth having a look at how he does what he does. I've seen some 100% modular stuff from him that's pretty wild. He literally has half the modules that exist. The interesting thing about autec...

Re: [SPLIT] Alternative Firmware(s) for Mutable Instruments Stages

For some reason, updating my stages doesn't seem to work. I did everything as instructed on the stages website, trying to play the update file into the last segment's cv input, keeping the LED button pressed with slider at mid position. Also checked beforehand that my line out is indeed playing the...

I was going to mention Rings as well but physical modeling options are abundant for the computer , so you probably already have that covered. now, that is triggering me. my experience was so far a different one, but i´m not into Reaktor etc. could you please point me to some VSTs that do the "physi...

Re: Zadar vs Kermit MK3

I don't have a Zadar, but I have a kermit, and frankly its one of my favorite eurorack modules of all time, especially the internal modulation matrix. The button combos are a bit of a pain but it is a fantastic module and one of the only one's in my entire system that I have two of.

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer

So, I have a feature idea for Vector that I posted at the Five12 forum but has been roundly ignored. Either I did a crap job of explaining it, or there’s just very little traffic over there, or it’s a crap idea. Probably less active due to being between updates, I bet Jim will respond once the big ...

Re: Do I really need a quad VCA to start?

I often patch without VCA's completely, probably 9/10 times :P and i have a pretty big system (case in sig + more)... you don't need VCA's, i don't want to say they're overrated because they can be useful, especially if you don't have a lot of full voices (which i do), and it'll probably trigger th...

Re: Do I really need a quad VCA to start?

I have a Befaco Hex VCA in one rack and an Intellijel Quad VCA in my other setup and so far have not used up all my VCAs with 2 NE voice modules and 2 VCOs and have enough left over for 1-2 more full voices. The Erogeneous Tones VC8 looks cool to get 8 VCAs in one module. I prefer to have my vca's ...

Control Forge, probably the least enjoyment I've ever gotten out of touching a module, I don't mind menu diving and programming, the ER-301 is one of my favorites but I just couldn't wrap my head around this one in any meaningful manner.

I’ve had pretty good luck so far with reaching out directly to the maker. when a scratchy pot popped up on a filter recently, the company graciously fixed it and shipped it back for free. I have also reached out to a maker or two with general questions and had good interactions. Have you contacted ...

Oh, isn't that normal behavior on all channels? I recognized it when I first got my Kermit and found it to be a bit odd but also did not expect any use from seeing the actual code as a wave on the screen. Huh let me check, maybe I was dumb and had A on a more chaotic bank when I swapped to codescan...
