I have to say that this is a fantastic sounding module. The Peak and Trough is wild. Really glad I got this module.

Happy it went to a good home! At first I lamented the space wasn't a mixer, but the P&T is really a great fit.

Re: Serge Modular on Instagram

Mostly I do video synthesis, but I have wanted a Serge since ordering the catalog in high school (around 79-80 I'd guess). That's now become a reality (though I'd wish I'd kept the catalog planning sheet system design I put together back then!)

I'm getting started on a large (12 panel, 22 PCB) Random*Source Serge 4U system, building for a friend. Some of the PCBs have a 2018 date, and a few, including the VCFS, is ahead of the build docs, which still reference the v1.02 through-hole board. The new VCFS is all surface mount, with only a fe...

Re: Ground on the LZX Vidiot?

Hello, I wanna hook up my Ciat-Lonbarde Cocoquantus to my LZX Vidiot. I got some cables (banana-jack) from Tom Bugs of Bugbrand. The Cocoquantus has a ground jack, but I don't see one on the Vidiot? How do I establish a common ground between the two? You'll need to split he ground out from the mini...

anyone putting a cocoquantus through a vidit, e.g.? http://www.ciat-lonbarde.net/cocoquantus/index.html or any other video synthesis (analog or otherwise) with the ciat-lonbarde family? Not a coco, but I did use the ultrasound outs into the LZX, they're capable of video rate frequencies. I think I ...

Have you used any of the castle series yet? Are they a good replacement for the original logic and flipflops? I'd really like to start up video this year aswell, but I'm not sure if I should go DIY or hunt original series modules on the BST. I've got the set of Castle's on the workbench now. Simila...

Rob's filter is a modified state variable filter. I don't know for sure how "true" the HP and BP outputs are, but HP should be at U7 pin 8 (buffer it with another op amp!) and the BP at U7 pin 7 (also buffer it). You can get a notch by summing the LP and HP outputs, again with appropriate buffering...

Doing most of the Mods on the Benjonow.

If I wanted to add High and Bandpass outs, where would be the ideal place to tap them? I tried looking at some SSM2164 bandpass schematics and mapping them to Rob's but I'd really just be guessing.

Thanks!
