Re: The Deerhorn: A Ciat-Lonbarde podcast!

Maybe because it's the preview page and I don't actually use the Apple app for podcasts? Still only showing 1. Podbean is working though thanks!

Re: Paperbark - Forest Clothes - A CL focused album

Ordered! Looking forward to getting the tape. Curious - the notes state also use of verbos & bugbrand modular and digitone, 'Barely Lit' notes Buchla Easel, Verbos and Octatrack how much impact do those other instruments have on the music you're creating? It sounds like they play a supporting role t...

Re: Show us your Bugbrand Set up

Looks really fun Chris! What's the (DIY?) module in the middle? + How is the control boat powered exactly? The DIY is 2 MENG qi dual passive lo pass gates (so 4 lpgs). Control boat is powered by 1a 12v wall wart with a splitter. Fun setup! Nice to really get stuck in to use the looping envelopes as...

Re: Show us your Bugbrand Set up

I scaled back A LOT recently. This is where I ended up, good balance of human control and self perpetuating options, and nice sound sculpting and rhythm generation.

Re: New C-L focused podcast!

I really enjoyed that podcast. I would love to hear interviews with Scy1e, paperbark, Dirch Blewn, Rodrigo Constanzo, Pugix, Meng QI, Peter himself! Lots of interesting people around CL actually doing quite different things, I would love to hear that variety reflected in the podcast. Real shame that...

Re: Multiplier - polarizing VCA

Circuitry def a bit update but, yeah, similar ball park. Effectively, you've got the sum of Initial + the 2 Modulations --- when this sum is 0V you get zero output when this sum is +5V you get x +1 amplitude output when this sum is +10V you get x +2 output when this sum is -5V you get x -1 output w...

Re: Multiplier - polarizing VCA

On the old DD1 we have 2 ins and one out with a level control on each input, using the ‘RM’ setting would it be the same result as feeding the same signals to the yellow input and one blue input on this module? Or is the circuitry a bit different?

Re: D2000 opinions/experiences.

3 days into D2000 ownership, and I love it! Having borrowed a d1000 from a friend before I’d say I can get all the sounds I loved from that machine from the individual outs and waaaaaay more from the mix out - the unit I bought is an mk1 without distortion knob as well, but setting the drive / level...

Re: BugBrand compilation 3: gauge of interest

Just want to say that the track me and my duo partner tried to do hasn't yet been possible due to corona... It this completely shelved, or just in stand-by? Corona really put an hold on my music making due to overwhelming (home)work to deal with the situation. Completely contrary to my expectations...

Re: BugBrand compilation 3: gauge of interest

Submissions for this have completely dried up. Strange as I thought people would want to share the weird and wonderful dance moves their systems are now doing since the release of DDSR, dual divide, logic, BBV, joy/touch, Pt delay, quad sine, dc mix, LPG, penrose, le seq, orgone accumulator, tresses...

Re: A somewhat selfish list of things I'd like to see Tom make

How about a theremin controller as two separate modules, to sit at the extreme ends of frame for the left/ right hand gestures :hihi: Semi joking of course. I imagine there’s probably a ton of interference issues doing this in modular otherwise there would have been something like that in Euro befor...

Thanks to the 7 that have submitted already - to the rest that expressed interest in submitting, I'm not going to push for this so much this time - so until I state otherwise in this thread yes, there is still space, and yes, still accepting submissions and no, no concrete release. Got lots going on...

Re: A somewhat selfish list of things I'd like to see Tom make

What I find really useful in the system is the Noise Crusher. Noise, S/H can be very useful to bring some random. I use in all my patches to make variations. Here's a simple ex. with Grilles and sound from DRM1 + Expander. S/H to control the hihat rhythm. Up to 8 seconds without S/H signal coming i...

Re: A somewhat selfish list of things I'd like to see Tom make

2fw phaser = 2 individual phasers or 1 phaser with lots of options? Also what new bits are you thinking on the freq shifter? That is very intriguing to me!! As always - my want list goes 1) noise source 2) phaser. and now 3) comparator & pos/neg slew modules. That is all :-). Oh and yeah, some sort ...

Re: New tape album featuring Ciat Lonbarde instruments

Indeed it sounds rather dry but in a good way. every idea is given it's moment and never allowed to stray off into irrelevant mumblings To prevent those random mumblings in my work I'm usually very selective about the stuff I allow to get into a looper for instance. But beeing to restrictive on the...
