Re: Vermona DRM1 MKIII --> MKIV ?

Is there a standard for 'dynamic triggers' ? Like does crossing 1v trigger and then the voltage between 1-5v sets the dynamic? What happens with a very slight ramp signal that crosses 1v but takes a few ms to reach 5v? Applying velocities to a digital trigger system (like Midi) is fairly straightfor...

Re: Mutable Instruments Beads (Clouds 2)

I made a drum machine yesterday. Recorded a bunch of drums sounds in the buffer. Froze it. Then set René cv out to the time parameter. Tuned each of René pots to differents slices of the buffer. And played some sequences with René. Was fun :) I know it wouldn't fit the Mutable A E S T H e T i C... ...

Re: Is Covid sorting the men from the boys? Re: Availability.

Or I could not. If you want to make a reasoned argument rather than speaking in metaphorical riddles, please do so, but I'm not engaging with open-ended baiting. Ultimately, your request seems to boil down to wanting others to come up with phrasing to suit your needs. It's fine to ask for help, but...

Re: Is Covid sorting the men from the boys? Re: Availability.

No, it does not behoove anyone to offer an alternative idiom to one that may be offensive. If you're unable to communicate what you mean clearly through idioms (which, by their nature, isn't all that unusual), then don't use an idiom. No one can simply create one for you if one doesn't already exis...

Re: Is Covid sorting the men from the boys? Re: Availability.

So you can pretend that it's not an offensive thing to say in the context of a global pandemic, but to many it is, and that's not because of PC "wokeness", or because people can't read, or because they don't know what the expression means, it's because they do know what it means, and they rightly t...

Re: Is Covid sorting the men from the boys? Re: Availability.

For me personally, demand for my products is a bigger survival issue than supply of the parts that go into them, and demand has actually been up. I don't know if that's a pandemic effect (people staying home have more time to wiggle? people spend their stimulus cheques on modular gear?) or just the...

If one is going to object to the use of a common English language idiom then it is incumbent upon one to provide a suitably evocative alternative idiom.
