Re: Need quantizer advice.

Is anybody aware of something similar, either existing or upcoming – i.e. multi channel and saveable quantisation masks that can be either stepped or addressed with CV, with intuitive scale editing? i wouldn't call it upcoming (more like firmware dev on hold indefinitely), ... fwiw, here's how far ...

Re: Ornament + Crime

no, what i meant is that sequencers do not output things that are a "A". either way. if you see ~ "4.75V @ 4 octaves" + 9 semitones, as pld said, it sounds as if everything is ok with "the damn references app", no? All right, I missed that. Good to know that the references app shows a somewhat corr...

Re: Ornament + Crime

also, conceptually, there's no such thing a as sequencer outputting n "A". ditto for the "references" app, they'll both output some voltage. "A" is fairly meaningless in this context. perhaps that's the issue? I thought there would be some standard in 1v/oct. Do you mean if I use four oscillators f...

Re: Ornament + Crime

With that setting, O_c output is -4,73 @ +4 octaves and my sequencer's output is 2.81 @ +4 octaves They are both supposed to play A it should be some "V" setting, yes. -4.73V doesn't sound right (o_C won't output voltages < -3.5V). perhaps you mixed up the probes? also, conceptually, there's no suc...

Re: Ornament + Crime

Very interesting. Has this issue never came up before? Could this be fixed or we just need to work it around? Many thanks There is a bit of a mix of behaviours across apps so I don't remember if it's come up. It might be one of the apps less travelled and just gets filed under "quirks" :) At first ...

Re: Q on precision (pitch) CV Outputs

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or pointers on the above questions. one thought is that i'm not an EE or tech person ... fwiw: 1) the DAC856x datasheet recommends "150nF or larger" at the VREF pin, so that kind of explains the two resistors on the left (it's been a while, not sure why i've used ...

Bug maybe? mmh, -ish; looks as if there's a mismatch between what the IDE things is "too large", and what teensyduino loader app thinks is "too large". should work now: https://github.com/mxmxmx/O_C/releases/tag/1.3.6 also, if anyone was bored ... superficially it looks as if compiling with the -Os...

Re: Using Instruo harmonaig instead of Meta-Q (O&C)?

re OC: well, you might have run into a bug, who knows. you can raise an issue here , preferably with some more info as to how to reproduce, so we can try to fix it ... that said, in terms of the internal mechanics it's not entirely obvious (to me) how you/one might end up with a note that doesn't be...

Have i got a faulty unit? sounds like it (strange noises, bam, black screen), but hard to say. "works perfectly" when connected to USB suggests it might (just) be a boot-up thing; some types of PSU (uzeus?, i thinkm ... there's probably others, idk) tend to cause problems with boot-up, but that wou...

Thanks mxmxmx for offering to take a look at my patch, learned something today. Thanks. Here it is. Currently seeking for guidance on the idea of muting a note in Sequins... I know this is not the question raised here but in my O_c left encoder will zero out the note effectively but that note is becoming the extension of the previous note, not a silence. Is that the expected behaviour? i think so...

Re: Creating tied notes for instance with temps utile

I thought temps utile might give some internal possibilities using the logic modes. For instance using AND on a slow pulse compared to a random faster one. But it seems the Temps doesn't look at the continuous state of the two voltages fed into the logic channel. Rather it just looks at wether or n...

Would the DX7 / Dexed really make a great module though? A polyphonic synth with a large number of parameters doesn't seem like it fits well with the modular paradigm, to me. don't know. the greatness of the module, i suspect, would largely depend on 1) personal preference, and 2) the specifics of ...

Re: reset IN does not work

Hi there, It seems Reset does not work on my T_U whatever i send in a pulse trigger or a gate. It's stange because Mute works fine. So, i doesn't think it's a hardware issue, but i dunno... The firmware is v1.3.1b. Any idea? Thanks for help ! which mode(s)? reset only works (should work) for divisi...

Looks like a job for Max/MSP or Pure Data to me. Of course nearly every complex control problem does. I understand your desire to avoid computers, but any module that can manage that much data is going to be a computer under the hood, probably with an awkward interface. fwiw, it's not quite there y...

if step length = gate length of individual step, that's not possible (as is). there's CV control over pulsewidth, which isn't quite the same admittedly.

fwiw, here's a new thing that's been taking shape over the last couple of months, ... it's kind of getting there, slowly, so here's a little preview of what eventually might be released on the ol' GitHub ... if everything goes according to plan, that is. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/486285931...

as for the push button LED, several options:

- pd. see: D_io_test_wm8731.pd
- the osc client
- some "blink" python script (the LED is GPIO 26)
