Re: Trigger/Drum Sequencers

To add - this all doesn't need to be hyper spendy. Basic Doepfer modules lined up. Patch heaven. I have never had so much fun as a bunch of Doepfer clock modifiers, switches and logic.

Re: Trigger/Drum Sequencers

PNW into a Zularic / Numeric Repetitor sounds good. Chuck that with you RCD and a cheap logic module and you are away :) OR PNW and Marbles, plus the logic.... OR Something like the Sound Machines drum computer if you want to program the beats and see them on a screen. So - all depends on your fave ...

Re: Coin Toss ( XOR/AND Logic: Exclusive Poly-Rhythmic Triggers )

Branches into Kinks - lots of possibilities there and I think you could get what your after. I have this set-up in my live case (still awaiting the mk2 Rene and the Disting EX's)

But yea, throwing a lot of clock modifiers around there....

Re: Telharmonic Love (…and ideas?)

Yea Dcrammer mentioned a fine tune pot... something that I sometimes wish Rings had. I like to gate it with a VCA / short envelope and get it doing a great rhythm part. Can chug nicely esp. if going through a delay.

Just ordered at Schneider's, on back order.... I am pretty fired up though after hearing the creative programming from the demo vids. Nice.

Yea the disting EX looks sweet and I have a couple on order.... Spitfire library I believe. Stereo(?) I'm not into the menu diving, but will just set one up for drums and one for the arp and chords... sacrilege, I know, but there is now way I will be able to read the screen casually.... set and forg...

Re: Doepfer A-180-3 Suddenly fried

Mmm - strange to fail so early; dud component; chip, diode... not a lot to go vastly wrong with a mult. Only two optios for the initial fault 1/ faulty chip. 2/ overvoltage. I'd just be tempted to replace any diode or cap. Not a lot of protection you can do on the board AFAIK, but that's what the ca...

You find picking 32 effects 'tedious'? It's like being a kid in a candy shop!

You are now banned from employment in any job that includes doing something more than once .... ahem ... that's all jobs then. :hihi: :goo: :hihi:

Re: Doepfer 106-5 or 106-6 or??

I do love me the sound of a SEM filter - so 106-5 for me: I don't have the Doepfer, but do have both the Bubble Sound SEM and the Dual SEM (which I think was a limited run). They are both excellent. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed with the 106-5 though, and it looks just the right size for wig...

I am definately getting this. I have a BSP and will be taking it apart tomorrow to fix the broken power/usb connection. Thats why I ended up doing a search.... and lo, I found this beauty. Aluminium case... 3 tracks... decent power input (?).... looks to be built like a tank as is most Korg gear. Th...

Late to the party, I bought a PNW and despite watching the demos, was blown away how easy it is to use and get so much out of it. Now I want another.

Re: Help me pimp my broken joystick

So Grumble beat me to it: I was going to suggest a small plastic prosthetic, but refrained. Now we have had the broken willy pic (thank god there is actually no bone in a human appendage to break!), I feel released to suggest the dildo. Apparently (not that I have looked or anything) but you can get...

Re: HOW are YOU integrating equipment into your workflow???

I've recently got back into modular. I used to have it all hooked up to the DAW (in fact it still is), but I have shaved a small 9u off for a 'jam machine', and I'm recording that synced to a Tascam Model 12. Jeez - what a great way to work. No more spending hours getting everything talking and work...

Re: Clock multiplier with a switch

Think modular - rather than one unit that does that, break it down (in the long run you also have more functionality too): Doepfer switched multiple -> Doepfer ratcheting multiplier. Cheap too. The Doepfer switched multiple has three possible switch positions: Input to out put one (put your multipli...

Re: MIDI and Clocks in a small case

You mentioned PNW as having menu diving - not really... it is only one page deep; you scroll to the desired output and there you can set the divisor or multiplier (no diving at all) - then, if you want to change the functions in any way, it is just one press on that page and you can just scroll thro...

I'm really impressed with the quality of the 2HP brand modules. Big shout out for the hi-hat. Probably one of the best hat modules I've had (and I've tried a lot!). Fortunately, once you get it patched up and achieve the sound you want, there is a lot you can do without having to twiddle the tiny kn...

Putting in yet another vote for Pam - they should do a discount for multiple purchases: I seriously could use two after playing with the first one. Damn. Looks like the wallet could be hit hard again in the no-to-distant. :)
