This is such a great thing to do - thank you a ton!

Yes, the code is in the MIDI-CV folder.
Enjoy!
I only saw the .hex, not the source itself - maybe it’s missing?

Yeah, I did vaguely recall that existing in the Ex, but I’m hoping to do this on my MK4 (or on half of my Ex).

Disting (MK4/etc) Cymbal / Hi-hat Muting possibile with Dual Audio Out? (or another approach?)

Short version: Is it possible to have one trigger cut off / mute sample playback on the other? (Dual audio playback, or maybe a different one?) Hey, folks! I'm hoping to start using my MK4 in some patches for drum sound duty. So, where do I start? Of course the touchiest place - Hihats! In case anyo...

Re: No Valid Firmware Installed

Do make sure you've followed the instructions to the letter, actually, actually. I managed to have a paniced moment with "firmware not found on card" - because the process (seemed) to take one reboot more than expected. Make sure you have a firmware file (for the MK4!) on the card - not just the boo...

Re: Is There A Linear Sequencer for Euro?

Ignoring the quantizing, I bet a Disting will do this just using the WAV recorder - I’m pretty sure it’s DC coupled, so you can just record the CV.

Teensy 3.2 in uO_C - Phyically damaged LED = Problems?

EDIT- I'll order a replacement Teensy, for the whole ~$24 USD, too - just hoping to be up and running sooner! And, fixing things is nice. Folks - I was doing some work on a uO_C (replacing the pin headers on the Teensy 3.2, as part of switching teensy modules between two uO_C modules - a whole diffe...

Re: “0 Volts” C vs 0.018V in Rene V2 vs. (e.g.) O&C

Based on 0.018 being so close to 0.02, and the similar behavior with unplugging CV cables, I think this is normal behavior. My ground references are pretty solid - I’ve got the Rene, my O&C, and oscillators all plugged into my Metatronic Mods busboard, so, quite a bit of meat there on the 0V busbars...

Re: Turning on/off system creates loud pop

Onnce powered up it seems to be fine, but my worry is that it might be something electrical that would cause harm to the case or modules. If you have a multimeter or voltmeter, check your power supply rail voltages. (Even better, see what happens to them during powering on and off). And, if you hav...

“0 Volts” C vs 0.018V in Rene V2 vs. (e.g.) O&C

So, minor “gripe,” that probably doesn’t actually qualify as one. I was doing some fun love patching a few days ago when I noticed some unexpected pitch changes when switching an oscillator from one sequencer to another. Now, I know it’s a bit optimistic to expect that to work, but, it does seem tha...

Yep, especially if you send me your old ones! (Though, I kinda wouldn't recommend that, if you want to resell them, but, just sayin')

Re: mutable instruments for ambient (new system - new to modular)

Perhaps I'll slowly put together a small modular setup piece by piece after I get to my new home. There is always the "semi-modular" approach; getting a 0-Coast or Behringer Neutron , which may fit nicely into a future modular setup. What does your setup look like now? What are you using, etc? What...

Re: mutable instruments for ambient (new system - new to modular)

Just tossing this on - if you’re feeling a little tired of your Juno-106, you could get the Kiwi-106 upgrade board for it. Multiple LFOs, ADSRs, an arpeggiator, velocity sensitive patches via MIDI, a MUCH larger patch/bank storage system, ultiplier. Mono modes (so you do t have to use the stacked vo...

Current (2020) replacement/upgrade LCDs? TG-77, K5000

Hey there, folks! There are some good articles and posts out there of folks replacing the LCD panels on their 90s +/- era synths, as the EL panels fade and things get hatred to read. I’ve got a Kawai K5000s and a Yamaha TG-77 that could use this help, and a JV-880 that’s approaching it. (I’m not eve...

Also, worth noting - that Intellijel Quadratt 1U isn't actually "compatible" with the case you've got there - take a peek in the attached image, which I've hopefully made more usable? Intellijel and (almost everything else 1U) aren't compatible exactly - you see how it's crooked? I'm actually impres...

Curious about "Paraphonic" VCO options / Euro-MIDI

Hey there, folks! After looking at some videos (I think maybe of the Behringer Poly-D), I realized that I'm probably interested in a "Polyphonic VCO" - a VCO designed for paraphonic patches. Some of these may already exist? In my mind: A module with MIDI IN (3.5mm? DIN? Whatever) Multiple voices dri...

This is exactly what I’m in the process of doing now - using the Synthrotek rails w/ends. I’m sure I’ve bitten off more than I can chew, but I plan for it to be a learning experience. (:

Keystep Pro - Step Edit w/o "preview?" Silent editing?

OK - this seems like it should be an obvious no-brainer, but I've been unable to figure out a way to do this, via settings, menus, Midi Control Center, reading the manual, etc. (And, my MI Rings arrived today and it's past 11 PM, so, I may have missed stuff). With a sequence playing (such as one mig...

Hopefully ThomasWals checks back on this thread! It’s worth noting for beginners - go to modulargrid.net ! It will let you play with layout, and make a database of modules. And, critically, it will show you the power needed ! So, make yourself a wishlist case there, and see what the power requiremen...

I tried to find an answer elsewhere on this, so sorry if I missed it! The PCB label & instructions specify “either way” for the power connector. But, the specs list power cosumption as 95mA +12, 0mA -12 (if I recall). It seems like these things are mutually exclusive - either the board draws 85mA fr...

Re: Disting MK4 Issues - aliasing / heterodyning in delay?

The firmware update uses more generic code that's more forgiving of formatting. The runtime stuff is more streamlined and fussier. I would suggest formatting the card again, just to be sure. I'm on format #3, but I'll wipe out the partition table & format it from linux ("vfat") this time. Do you ha...

Re: Disting MK4 Issues - aliasing / heterodyning in delay?

As noted in the user manual, the Clockable Delay operates at 19kHz. Ah - that makes a lot of sense - sorry for the RTFM / PEBKAC there! If the disting is locking up on sample playback, the card is almost certainly formatted incorrectly. See the notes in the user manual, particularly the Partitionin...
