Re: rails for 1/3U vent spacing?

Those are 1/3U. Thanks for making me research them, they look perfect for a bunch of small gaps I have!

Re: Side chain compression

Since TinyPic has folded in the meantime, here's my graphic again. Maybe that helps. In your specific patch with an ADSR, it sounds like the gate length is shorter than the attack you are dialing in. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/download/file.php?mode=view&id=44961&sid=ba378173614d4de21d8b4e3cd...

Nice Moltar reference! I doubt many get it, but kudos!
Why is his rack mirrored, though? :hmm:

Re: Module for turning smooth CV changes into steps?

Imagine this: I have a sawtooth LFO, running an 1hz. Now, with the rising portion, i want it to, instead of gliding smoothly from trough to peak, step in 4 jumps. What module could do this sort of thing for me? And to take it further, imagine i now slow the LFO down to 0.6hz. But i still want 4 (ho...

Re: Hinton Instrument SequenceMix

Over my head. All I can picture is 1-8 different waveforms being played into a filter. Triangle, now Sine, now square. Im clearly missing something Of course, it can do that, and it's fun. One of the first things I tried was four different waveforms of one multi-output VCO into 1-4, and four square...

Re: Hinton Instrument SequenceMix

I can't understand what this thing does. I need to study the arp module I guess Think of it as dual 4:1 or single 8:1 mixers where you can sequence the "mutes" for each channel using various methods :yay: With an offset multed to all channels (i.e., the standard configuration without any patching) ...

Re: How Do I Choose A New Interface?

FWIW, I'm very happy with my Orion 32+. No issues whatsoever and I really like the sound. The routing matrix is also pretty cool. Does anyone have experience to back up BT's claim that audio interfaces sound WILDLY different. I'm not buying it. I made some comparison files when I upgraded from my ol...

Re: Registering Your Music?

Depends what your goal is... Theoretically, "copyright" is immediately generated the moment you create something. The hard part is being able to proof and enforce that. A cheap and easy way is to send yourself a registered letter with a DVD or USB stick inside containing all the info you want to "pr...

Cool idea :yay: Maybe consider adding some small holes so that releasable zip ties could be used with them? I'm thinking of something similar to HellermannTyton "Cable Tie Mounts": https://www.hellermanntyton.co.uk/products/cable-tie-mounts Something along these lines... https://www.hellermanntyton....

Re: Re:

yes, thank you! multiple sounds like a useful option for the bottom. I like the multiple a lot, it encourages patching the Reference to other destinations (i.e., not just the SequenceMix) in a patch. Note that mine is a mix between Bantam and 3.5mm sockets, very handy as well. I should note that th...

Re: Voltage controlled polarizing mixers?

You can patch it up by using a 4-quadrant multiplier ("ring mod") for each source to do the VC polarisation, and any mixer with as many inputs as needed for the mixing.

Sounds like you need to set TempoSync to Internal? If that fails, I'd try a Factory Reset.

Re: Parallel mixing multiple Fx on an audio source

I think you have the most economical solution there already - a patchbay and a 19" line mixer. Configure it cleverly and you are good to go with minimal patching and a lot of flexibility. Signal drop could be caused by wrong cabling or DAW I/O settings or something like that... Or what the pedals ca...

If you are building balanced modules, please consider offering them with Bantam / TT jacks optionally. It's a far better connector than minijacks and it takes up the same panel space. And if L/R channels are not perfectly matched, isn't this just more stereo goodness? Not on the 2-bus, where I plan to use it mainly (after the SVC that I use as a 2-bus compressor to mix into). That said, I find the SVC is fairly easy to recall from the notes I take, so I probably shouldn't worry ...

I want to buy one eventually, too. I have a Stereo Voltage Control and it's fantastic.

Do you have the stepped "rotary" version or the standard one with potis, sellanraa? I'm wondering how hard it is to recall or to get matched settings on L and R with the latter...

Ah, I thought it was sending a pitch offset that you couldn't figure out how to get rid off. So if you set the Modwheel CC to something other than 1 in the MIDI Control Center, it still affects the pitch in addition to whatever CC you set?

It stores the last value set, just like leaving a mod wheel up. Did you try "turning" it down to zero?

I think we are not really so far apart. :tu: I want there to be a way to adjust it, too, but I want it to be easy to adjust it to a specific reproducible target when desired .
