Re: Sequentix Cirklon - what make it so desirable?

Just wanna chime in and say the tutorial video's are awesome. Thank you so much for these skkatter. I do read manuals and the Cirklon manual is really good but it's still hard to learn some of the not so obvious functions without someone explaining them clearly. I had the simple stuff sussed quite s...

Re: Which VCA fits the Verbos Multi-Envelope best?

Send it to a VCO if you don't have a scope. Listen if there is a glitch in it. This was a real eye-opening tip for me, thanks! I almost never use envelopes on pitch. Patching to a VCO the different shapes and the way the controls work became much clearer for me. FWIW, nothing seems wrong with the m...

Which VCA fits the Verbos Multi-Envelope best?

To answer my own question, the Verbos Amp & Tone probably, but I'm hoping for some cheaper option now. I've got the Intellijel Quad VCA of which I'm quite fond of but it does seem to have sometimes a litlle bit of a problem with the Verbos envelope output. In particular clicking/ticking/distorting a...

Re: Synth Tech e520 Hyperion Stereo Audio Processor

Got the module yesterday. Just want to say that it's fantastic. Got some wonderful sounds out of it just testing the different algo's. The UI is particulary nice. Well worth the wait!

Re: Synth Tech e520 Hyperion Stereo Audio Processor

Thanks for the update Tekbrain. I had about the same question as butter but didn't want to pile on plus I'm not that impatient that I can't wait a month or so longer (not implying that butter is impatient mind!). Not all of us are on Facebook though. I personally avoid it like the plague. It would b...

It's clear at this point that the free market has failed us. We need the NGOs to step in with a One Cirklon Per Manchild program to help under-served communities arrange musical events in time.
This had me genuinely laugh out loud. Thanks!

Thanks very much for your reply. It sounds like I need to get the CO after all.

Your examples regretfully don't show up on my computer, I do have Facebook permanently blocked here at home, maybe that's it? I'll check again when I'm at my workplace.

Re: new modules from Verbos: Amp+Tone, Foundation Oscillator, NF

I was totally blown away by a Youtube video of the Foundation Oscillator. I have been thinking about getting the Complex Oscillator for some time but now it's really hard to choose between the two. I guess you can't get the exact same tones on the Complex Oscillator as you can get from the Foundatio...

Cirklon dinsync to Vector for me. Seems to work fine the couple of times I tried it sofar. Had it synced to the Cirklon via usb midi before which also worked fine. Just got the expander and I now have the USB port of the Cirklon free again for other duties.

I'm having the same issue. Lava lamps and the likes won't cut it for these old eyes. The picture lamp looks promising though, excellent tip, thanks!

Jim got back to me real fast and I'm getting new cables. Excellent service!!!

By the way, it's the other way around. I've got a new Vector and an older Expander. The pinned cables are the older ones.

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer Teaser

Okay, I just bought a secondhand jack expander and can't connect it to the main board due to pins stuck in the plugs. They're at certain places on both sides of the cable so it seems it's on purpose. The connectors on the expander have both a pin missing in the place the plugs are supposed to fit. t...

I think a wavestation sounds crap compared to a VS but please take into account that I never liked the sound of Korg (at least since the MS10/20) so it's just my opinion man. (insert dude emoticon here)

Website says the shop is closed for a few days and is in test mode. Just to add some info; it has been like that for months now. Does someone know how to obtain the latest OS from ASL? I found only one way to contact them (via Reverb) but didn't get an answer from them (yet).

Yeah, I just got a mail back from Stereoping and their latest firmware for the controller has a setting where you can choose wether you want it to work with normal or "swapped" NRPN values. Very cool.

Re: The Definitive Sequential Prophet VS resource thread

Thanks for this!

I've also looked in on the different OS's lately. Isn't there an extra option for extended range of tuning in the Austin Synth Labs OS? And are you sure Stereoping offers upgraded firmware? I could always ask them myself of coarse...
