Re: TTSH Ver.3 (rev.8) General build thread

Amir, I think we gave you the info to separate the power of each section by cutting the traces and installing jumpers at the 2x3 pin pads. This helps you to find the faulty section/area. Furthermore, are you sure that your LM301 are fine ? I got few months ago 100 fake LM301 from a trusted eBay sell...

Use a bench powersupply with current limiter and test without a voicecard, then flash the device and start testing with voice1.

Re: 909 Drum Machine REPLICA build thread

Since DinSync Andreas Kump and Christian Hartig released a real Replica (RE-909) it should be better to give your device a Name and change the thread title here to avoid confusion with this both 909 devices ?

Re: Deckards Dream General Build Thread

In the case of DDRM and Kijimi is the price break mostly for 200 resistors, but you find other metal Film resistors which have the price break for 100 which are cheaper than 48 for example.
I ordered the most parts from tme.eu, especially the ICs are cheaper there (but same manufacturer)

Shooting from the hip here, without reading much. Did the V2 TTSH fix the V1 poorly routed parallel traces for VCO2 -or something interacting with it- that AIRC had this result?
Yes, fixed in v2

Re: Synthi options

Only a ghiellmetti matrix is a very good matrix. You have to respect the tolerance, 0,1mm is too much and you can’t easy push/pull the pins inside. It possible to make a digital matrix, but the good electronic switches are expensive and the prototyping costs more than a ghiellmetti, it’s only an opt...

Re: Two Thousand Six Hundred (TTSH) OSC Sync PCB

Good news: it’s easy to install the switches for the Sync in the new Korg arp2600.
But the connection to the VCO section parts could be a problem. I’ll publish some pictures from inside and technical infos Saturday on Amazona.de.

Cheers Hansi
I’ll check it in next days on mine and will offer a new Sync PCB for it.

Re: [AVAILABLE] TTSH V4 Build Thread

Question about oscillator tracking. I’ve got one Osc that only tracks about 2 oct then the third octave jumps about half a note sharp which continues to drift even sharper higher up the scale. The other osc are fine, go about 4 oct with just a few cents variation. I replaced the transistor pair whi...

Re: Deckards Dream General Build Thread

check the voicecard edge connectors too, sometimes is inside a short of the pins (it’s happen when you press the edge connector in the pcb)
Use the DDRM Rev1 schematics (rev2 isn’t released completely)
Or ask Steve Summers for a repair.

Re: [AVAILABLE] TTSH V4 Build Thread

Test: Swap a other VCO pcb in this VCO. Push/pull the LF switch - often are the switch pins not connected and the OSC frequency isn’t stable then. Start to replace the CA3046 (if you used an IC socket) And if not successful swap the JFETs (2N5459) in case you can’t identify with an Scope the differe...

Re: Deckards Dream General Build Thread

Peter, yes without voiceboards is the Programming possible. The safest method to test the device is to use a bench powersupply with current limits. And when you attach the voices you get an idea how much each card need, it was around 250mA per voice. That helps you in case you installed a diode or I...

The new MK2 vs. the old architecture is much different - more functions and for sure other parts I doubt anything has changed with the architecture itself. They just crammed the SMDs into a smaller space. The only thing that's different is the added Sustain switch/slider on the panel, and that's ju...
