Re: Qu-Bit Bloom

I've been working with Bloom on and off for about a month now. I have mixed feelings overall but I'm hoping an update or two with smooth the experience out. I'm having a problem at the moment where none of the knobs change pitch. Bloom only outputs a single pitch, regardless of what I do. Powered u...

Re: envelopes with an integrated VCA?

I have been using the PICO MOD for quite some time but needed more envelopes so bought Doepfer A-142-4 Quad Decay. It has four, you see.

Edit: Wait a minute, the Doepfer A-142-4 Quad Decay doesn't have a built in VCA. :waah:

Well, I agree with all the points posted above. The Akemie's Taiko is a drum voice that can be used melodically or noisily or insanely or glitchy. It seems so much more than a drum module to me. Like, the TipTop Snare Drum is a drum module to me whereas the Akemie's Taiko is so much more to me. One ...

Of course, I am a single man and only have one opinion so eat this with a grain of salt but... KARP and DU-KRPLS have nothing to do with Akemie's Taiko. I have all three racked up permanently in my exceptional 208hp drum machine synthesizer rack and would describe them in the following manner. KARP:...

No, of course not. This was merely an example. One might also claim Volca New Tube is a TB-303 killer... but one would be wrong.

[this] is a [that] killer.

Hello, I searched but could not find this thread in "General Gear." Please point me to it if it exists. Having gotten those formalities out of the way... I find myself quite interested in gear which kills other gear. For example, Volca FM is a DX-7 killer. Or, the new 707 is a Digitakt killer. For e...

I have many illuminating opinions on this New Tube synth from Korg Volca. 1. One cannot suppose this sounds even a smidgen close to the classic Transistor Bass Three Oh Three. That characteristic sound has been mangled here by the tube tech. If they continue to play up the false claim of "warmth" I ...

Re: Roland MC-707 Groovebox

Is it a new MPC / Ableton / Deluge / Octatrack killer or not really? One cannot kill what has never lived. However, these questions pose an interesting threat nonetheless... MPC: One does not kill the MPC with this neon fuck. MPC is for the old school hip-hop Wu-Tang RZA and the like. This thing ca...

I'm thinking of expanding my case and having the combo of Lapsus Os, WMD SSM, and Let's Splosh. Seems like a good way to go completely crazy. Mr Sound Boy King: Splosh seems like a nice thing for CV mixing/anarchy... are you using it to process gates/triggers or rather modulating drum module parame...

4CV ins and I get 16CVs out. What we can recall in the event of the "Pulsar" from SOMA is that one does not need to recognize it as "superior" or "inferior" compared to one another's opinion. The fact it exists surpasses the imagination of the weak because of Historical Factors in Russia as well as Poland (read a book if you do...

99.9% of listening couldn't tell the difference between a Boutique and a Real. The Real is Imaginary if you catch my drift. It is only in the psychical realm of certain neurotics where one finds the Boutique and the Real in contest. Now, as we can ascertain, once one has pulled or pried apart the Im...

Well, to throw in my 2 pence, I think people will pay the most for the 707... much more than the similar engine. If we look at the aesthetics, the true value of the synth, the 101 has more colorful interpretation. Without this: we are sunk. However, I did miss the boutique Jupiter I sold when I real...
