Re: Erica Synths Black Sequencer

Any updates on this beauty?? I hope it will have a reliable clock detection system like a 4ms pinging style for external clock modulations.

Re: High-end audio in-out module?

Also TAI-4 is good, any DI would work, oh also Meng Qi Please exist is really good, if you find it grab it, i use it to get headphone amps to modular, i believe it removes it headphone watt power, since it has a transformer. It sounds good from headphones out of a soundcard but I only use it for bas...

Re: High-end audio in-out module?

Neve RNDI-S! It sounds sick! Be sure to get Bubblesound Reducer too reduce still too hot modular levels for soundcards. I found a draft in my notes i guess about this topic so just pasting here this very boring off the topic note without editing (sorry for grammar mistakes, I am just tired): If any ...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Morpheus Filter

SSM2044 is, as you said, is a proven scenario. I really can't understand how SSF Dipole filters (2044) sound so similar to Akai S900 filter sweeps. My theory is when Akai was developing their first samplers, and they wanted to have the punch of SP1200 (2044 again), so they based their filter design ...

Can someone make a video and process jungle dnb sound through this? There is very few drum sound demo, and they all sound plasticky and thin compared to EMU E4 or E6400.

I never updated to 2.0 after I heard the problems, and I keep checking their websites for bug-free release. And yeah, version 1 firmware is also not anywhere on the website, crazy! I think soft developer team should have been much more careful with the release. It's not nice that people are losing s...

Re: Xaoc Jena, Drezno, Lipsk: Leibniz Binary Subsystem update!

I am wondering if this module can only processes a single channel? I thought it could do eight channels at once with Jena addition. But I just realized that all eight pairs of are only for bits output or bits input triggers/gates. So I guess I can't feed eight-channel drums into this and get out eig...

Re: Intellijel Plonk

Not the best experience but it's alright and fun. You can be pretty fast with assigning X/Y knobs to parameters and find the value and then enter it with encoder. There is a pushable encoder, but there is no push and switch for faster parameter inc/dec. Which is like a no brainer, and it takes time ...

Re: Stereo FX Switch module

I understand it's fun to brainstorm and think about modules, but in this case, a 4hp Doepfer module with 2hp buffer can solve this effect to dry switching idea. So I think it is as simple as it gets, I don't see any downsides of this configuration other than no knob to control, and you have to have ...

Re: Stereo FX Switch module

I see this being a really easy module to design and build. Just a handful of opamps, two knobs, two switches, and no fewer than FOURTEEN jacks. You guys are overthinking it, crossfader like Doepfer and stackable cable before it going to EFX modules is all you need. Most of the modules has audio inp...

If it is dual stereo effects than double Doepfer sequential switch with stereo mixer is all you need. (Still stackables in use)

Re: LM13700 tester circuits?

Anyone interested in more than LM13700 or LM13600 (same without four pins of independent dual buffers), I am taking Lanterman's Modular Synth class this term, you can find a slide chapter relating to OTA chips which can be used as tester circuit as well. Lectures are great too, lot's interesting bit...

Cirklon. You feel like Jazz Drummer while adjusting randomizations. Or like a chef esp. randomizing the randomization depth with a little with masking Alfredo sauce. Mamma Mia.

Re: Stereo FX Switch module

Intellijel Mutamix is perfect for this. Plus, it has two more extra channels for mono drum sound switches or the third stereo in. And you need to have a pair of stackable before the input. Not to mention adjustable VCAs and preset switching option with triggers. A cheaper option is Doepfer A-134-2. ...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

PM is pretty fun to work with. I generally plug output to input as a PM source and just CV the modulation depth. It creates a kind of quick dirty distortion. But if the ASS8 is in the heart of the system, it can be used to create quick distortion in/out fashion (not the best dist sound but very good...

You can always throw your existing filters to the wall until their response is not distinguishable if it is lowpass or high pass. Or you can put them under the hot sun for the whole summer for emulating the calibration going wacky over the months. Or you can have one LPG, BUT with two modes, one wit...

Headphone mixing is the biggest mistake I made in the last ten years of music-making. Bass amplitude is never accurate, the stereo image is much wider, and since there is no cross leak between L and R, sounds might become harsh on speakers. Rule of thumb: never tweak anything timbral while wearing h...

YESSS!! Thank you, so stoked for this update. What's the difference between fader and normal modes? I'm guessing fader mode maps -5v to inaudible, and +5v to louder than unity? Actually, Fader applies a -5V offset, so that 0V is inaudible. The +5V level depends on what the initial Mix Level paramet...
