Re: Two mixers setup : dumb or genius ?
So i'm starting to wondering what if i just use two medium mixers, get the master out of one into two inputs of the other ? I've seen this video where Magda although i'm not sure exactly how she routes two x desk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxwnxR62p3M&t=172s&ab_channel=TelekomElectronicBeats S...

Re: First build advice for a complete noob. Help please!
Just curious why you're so set on the Mindphaser? Seems a hellishly complex module to start with. You've already 2 menu driven modules, I'd personally be looking at something simpler to begin with. You also say you're already thinking of getting rid of 2 modules - wait until you've spent a bit more ...

OP asks for a simple solution, doesn't want to carry anything around and even suggests 3 items all costing less than $20, so everyone suggests $500 solutions

Re: No Coast + Strega - mix headphone outputs?
Hello! Looking for the simplest way to combine the headphone outputs of a No Coast and Strega together. Prefer to keep away from proper mixers to keep to portability factor. Considering an Intellijel HUB (in 'reverse'), a Belkin Rockstar, the Behringer MX400. I should clarify - no need for EQ, pann...

Re: Desktop Speaker Stands
Ideally you want the tweeters in your speakers to be about level with your ears, or pointing at your ears (angled up or down as required), regardless of the height of your screen. Is this what you are trying to do? Exactly that. If anything my (to be replaced) shelf is too low @ 6", 8' would be bet...

Re: Desktop Speaker Stands
Thanks for the suggestions so far. Not really wanting to get into DIY, neither the time nor the space. We're still in lockdown here and I don't have my own transport so 'just picking up a few scraps' is far from straightforward (I know excuses, excuses :)). I'm more interested in anyone's experience...

Re: How can I take my modular to the next level?
Agree with the others, you've plenty there, and it seems pretty well balanced (BTW I count 16 VCAs...). Maybe focus on a few modules at a time - rearrange things so each block can be an instrument in it's own right. Watch some of Mylar Melodies videos on tiny systems that are focused on a particular...

Desktop Speaker Stands
So, I built a shelf for my Alesis M1 speakers and computer monitors. This was fine until I upgraded my 2 old Dell monitors to a 32" BenQ - which is great. I now realise that even at it's lowest setting the screen is uncomfortably high (I use it for work 3 days a week too) and there's no room on the ...

Re: Does a latch-trigger-switch exist?
Really not sure what this is, looks like a mixer with on/off mutes per channel, not really a switch in the usual sense. You say 'allows the trigger to select the channel', but with multiple trigger ins you're not 'selecting', you're just switching channels on/off. Do you want more than one channel ...

Re: Envelope follower + comparator combo module?
Pretty much all the input modules I've seen combine Envelope following combined with a gate comparator function, though most lack control over the envelope response. Ladik do an envelope follower + Gate/trigger module with rise/fall control - provided you don't need CV control over threshold as well.

Re: How to invert gates only when flip-flop gate is mixed
I'm just seeing this now, but I'm bored at work and wanted to think of a way I would do this is: Instead of starting with: +-+-+-+- and -+-+-+-+ I'd start with +-+-+-+- and ----++++ Feed both of those to your logic gate and you'll get XOR: +-+----- and NAND: ++++-+-+ In addition to feeding the ----...

Cool. FYI, I power mine by USB. I also highly recommend third party knobs like this one: https://spillerphoto.com/product/knobs_black_korg_sq1/ I'm sorry, that just looks horrible... I'm looking to put the transparent version of these on, just need to check they'll fit. VCA with suitable mod source for your filter and a mixer to combine the VCA with the clean. Don't think it needs to be any more complicated than that unless I'm missing something.

Re: Eurorack standard desperately needed!!!
This has been brought up at least once a year as long as I've been on here, not going to happen I'm afraid. I share your frustration, especially as if you read some of the Doepfer pages there were suggested standards in there, sadly succeeding companies just ignored them. Even Doepfer envelopes are ...

Re: I'll take any input
Damn Pam's New Workout could basically do lfo, envelopes and more on its own ? I wonder if I could get by with only this module for lfos or envelope. For example having no other envelope and letting it do that + some lfos (along with another lfo module). Or the other way around, having only this mo...

Re: How to invert gates only when flip-flop gate is mixed
If you always want the inversion to happen at the middle of your pattern (or should I say after 4 steps), you should be able to get the desired result with the pattern A divided by 4 (could be done with 2 flip-flops), with the divided result going to an XNOR logic gate. The other input of the XNOR ...

Re: Dnipro Dot - 3 Channel Trigger Sequecer
I am considering a DOT. Just one thing I would love to know: How does it respond to a pause in the clock stream. Like, I assume, that it will start on one after a really long pause I just wondered, because my Robaux LL8 has that behavoir, so I thought that it might be “a thing” for such modules. An...
