Re: Dotcom Panel wiring vs. Panel PCBs

One is designed to be mass produced more efficiently. The other is designed not only for efficient production but also repairs, mods, etc. That said the answer to this question of yours will all depend on who replies. Those who have little or no desire to do their own repairs and/or modifications wi...

.... Case in point - the second "cello" is just the first through a long delay. AH! Yes! Quite effective indeed! Y'know, Brian May (guitar, band "Queen") made excellent use of delays (aka "echo" a la 1970s jargon). A lot of what sounds like a dual guitar lead is actually just him. Properly timed to...

Re: Asymmetrical Clipping Pedals

I've made one (or two?) overdrives and distortion units that had fully reconfigurable clipping. I used a jack on the front panel, wired into the circuit's clipping circuit. I then loaded plugs with various clipping diodes wired across the pins inside of the plugs. So when I wanted/needed a different...

Re: Make Noise 0-Ctrl

If you turn on the iPhone light you see inside a small white plastic screw. As soon as you try to insert the tiny screwdriver the hole get dark again. Almost impossible for me to adjust it. And I don’t want to have a device that invert sequence direction randomly when I press start. It takes a very...

Re: Asymmetrical Clipping Pedals

Interesting... I bought a BOSS DS-1X and a Neunaber Neuron. I love them both. They are far away from fuzzy sounding, which I don't like... The Neuron is definitely kicking my Seymour Duncan Palladium out of bed, so I will post it up for sale on Reverb soon. I originally bought that at the same time...

While we're totally off topic, one of the reasons Buchla synths were originally appealing precisely because they were cheaper than moog, and you could probably trade drugs for them. Yea. Hell ... Why not! I mean, let's go ahead right off the cliff and just let our imaginations create history....

While we're being pedantic, electronic music existed well before Dr. moog. Blairio was including those earlier giants. So.. Survey Says.. XXX ... not before electricity was discovered. 8-) Relax folks ... I was just fucking around ... a bit of a joke in the morning. Geebis Chrysler ... haahaa! .. a...

closer to 120, but okay. No argument there. But just think - Assuming the earliest synth was created around the turn of the 20th century what will synths look like / play like in another 50 years? .. and they might look like nothing ... it all depends on demand. It assumes synth development will co...

Re: Behringer Mono/Poly!

In evolutionary terms it is very early days in the life of synths. It took the something like 300 years for what we now recognise as a pianoforte to evolve from its very first form. ... well, yea ... after a little thing called "electricity" was discovered, and means of generating it were invented,...

Very nice project, thank you for sharing! Regarding the rejected "parenting tips" .... about 80% to 90% of problems with pets are actually problems with owners. You can go ahead, spend money on cases and other stop gaps. None of that is going to change a single thing. This is about behavioral modification. You can lock up your cables but th...
