Re: Best discontinued modules

Yeah, I have slowly tracked down 3 Sport Mods and love the module. Super flexible and interesting.

I'd throw out the Spock logic module by Intellijel (have tracked down 2 over the last 4 years or so) and the Dixie I (would love a second one of those).

Re: Leibniz Binary Subsystem

There's a thread going here that you'll probably find useful: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=180508 I can't say I fully understand the Leibniz system potential, but I've very much enjoyed working with it on and off for the last few years, gradually trying to uncover those pos...

Re: NEW from La 67: LR4 VC Crossover

Dang, I never even check AH for some reason. I reached out to Detroit Modular about when they thought they'd get them and they never responded as I try to support the smaller shops generally, so just went to PC.

LR4 is shipping from Perfect Circuit, so it HAS touched down in the states.

Yeah, super cool. I'd love to hear more of how you're patching this. I really haven't explored this side of the Leibniz. I focus mostly on CV output to quantizers and kooky percussion sequencing.

Re: The modules you have in double, triple, quadruple ...

I used to really be opposed to the idea of duplicates. Now I have a couple smaller cases and one is very specifically set up with a duplicate/stereo approach: 2 W/ 2 Sport Mods 2 Plonks All total I have 3 Sport Mods and (soon) 3 Samaras - so that my larger case can still have a Sport Mod and I've ju...

Re: I don't like to bitch but...

I'm creative and I don't 'get it' always from Whimsical's language, but I also don't shit on it. I ask questions. I look for reviews. Ultimately, I admire their ingenuity and designs and while W/ was the only one I didn't pre-order immediately upon announcement because of some concerns about ergonom...

Re: I don't like to bitch but...

Just don't get the purpose of spreading negative vibes. There are more modules that I'll never investigate/buy/support than I do end up buying, it'd be weird to start a thread about each of them. People seem to target Whimsical more than most, and ironically, some of those folks who have trashed the...

Re: Grau Modular

As someone used to lugging guitar stacks around for live shows and tours, I guess I see subtle weight differences in cases 6U104 and smaller to be inconsequential. Plus, I find metal cases aesthetically unappealing.

Yeah, I have no idea what was behind their disappearance and now reappearance. I agree that the community won't abide by controlling narratives by deleting posts, etc. I'd be a lot less skeptical of your theory of a reasonable explanation if they hadn't deleted that post. So almost immediately I wen...

So, they're back. I was hoping to get some discussion going on how the community feels about that. First, I have always lusted after their cases as I'm pretty obsessed with small. However, they're deleting posts on their Instagram from people who have say they have had their money stolen without get...

Re: Xaoc Devices Timiszoara: Voltage Controlled DSP Effektor

I'll just offer that I think it's absurd to draw conclusions about sound quality based on any video recording from a noisy show floor at a convention. This very common tendency on these gear forums to do just that always puzzles and confounds me.

Re: Xaoc Jena, Drezno, Lipsk: Leibniz Binary Subsystem update!

Got the Jena just under a week ago and really loving it.

Even without the Jena this all does effectively act as a quantizer as I understand it, just not with a 12 tone scale.

Re: Xaoc Jena, Drezno, Lipsk: Leibniz Binary Subsystem update!

My Jena arrives today and I don't see anything in the manual about how to connect multiple modules up. I'm hoping to have a Lipsk inverting bits on the Drezno and the Jena wired up without a Lipsk connected to the Drezno. I wish they had a visual for different routing options, but maybe someone here...

Re: Intellijel Plonk

Trying to isolate noise issues in my case. I'm wondering if anyone has a low level high-pitched noise when you power on with the Plonks. I can't help but wonder if it's always been there as I test the Plonks in other cases that I've used them with. Is it the kind of thing that's always been there, b...

Hello,

I got a Blackhole Six case with a Konstant Labs Board PWR and some shrounded 4ms bussticks to run from that. I'm experiencing some noise with the Plonks in the case though.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to solve that problem?

Thanks!
