Anyone own both this and the CS-L ?
I really like the tones of the donuts. Also it's smaller and seems even more versatile while easier to reach to. And the sound is pretty fat

ALM, can you advise? Thanks. Sounds like you are trying to run firmware meant for newer hardware on older hardware (different dacs). I think you'll find it hard to justify if it's your only piece of outboard gear, and it likely won't get used much just because the workflow of using a single external effect in something like Live is a PitA. :\ I have a few pieces I love, and I have to go out of my way to work them into my flow......

The gearslutz post about the unit is pretty fucking long so you should checkit out there.

Just quick headsup apparently they will be able to deliver quiet fast because they told me "we are ready for a big production here in EU, now we have 5.000 different gears in the production for SOMA only and it works :)"

It's not like the jack are fine.
They are the worst i've seen on any eurorack modules. And make the modules cheap as they could be.
It's really a design flaw and i'm not sure why os insist on not changing them.
There must be reasons but he doesnt seem to advance them.

Are the jack as bad as in the other ES modules ? or did they upgraded them ?
I have es3/es6 and fh1 and the jack are terrible.
I'm selling fh1 for this reason and looking for alternatives for the 3 of them because how bad they are.

fwiw, there's this: https://github.com/PaulStoffregen/Audio/blob/master/output_adat.cpp ... which is part of the pjrc "audio library". 8 channels (with say CS42448, which is already/also supported), output only though Thanks :) I think i'll also try to unsolder the jack and replace them. Maybe that...

Had anyone thought about making an adat eurorack module ?

I've been using expert sleepers es3/6 for a while now. And i can't seems to find any other makers releasing adat modules/interfaces. Are they hard to make or costly ? It doesnt looks like from the PCB but i'm not well versed into the science of building modules :) Would it be hard to make a diy vers...

The decay time suck a bit honestly. Not sure why the black version only had the longer decay. I often need a long decay and i can always short it why restricting the range like that ?

no way it's that long. It's pretty 'expensive' being 1200to1500 and 700 persons is huge.
Anyone wanna give me his spot on the list ? :D

tbh there are kick modules for 200$. damn even sample based one for less than that.
if the price aint right for you maybe don't buy it or you could just spam their inbox saying how you feel about the heftyheftyhefty price of their modules which isnt in tune with your profound kick desires.

Damn the module seems really cool. I'm pretty confident that it is a must have module. The S&H, the knobs and the whole design concept really buy off the difference between this and some other kick modules to me. Also having sex on a daily basis with my natural gates i wouldnt mind a bit of side act...
