Startup current for modules can be higher than what they draw just sitting there running (which is what the published mA figures tell you). Maybe the startup current for all the modules combined is more than the power supply can handle, so it says "nope, I'm out of here" repeatedly. Try unplugging m...

Probably yes, but it's a good design practice to keep the voltage you send to the input under the maximum specified and not to have to put them to the test in the first place. The datasheet explicitly suggests this use though? :hmm: Yeah, there's lots of discussion about this in the PIC world too. ...

If I remember correctly you need to use a 2 lead bi-color led for this to work correctly. Yep, definitely need the 2-lead bicolor LEDs. Also I recommend positioning the LED so that it rests on top of the strain relief for the cable in the plug. That way if you push the light into a jack by the LED,...

Because they know you want them! :deadbanana:

Really, though, I think it's because the male ends usually end up on the boards and the female ends usually end up on the cables, so they don't make/sell nearly as many of this configuration.

Does this show how much current is being used in a system ? No, this one doesn't have any way of sensing that. Another one might later, though... Its really nice to see something like this. Is it available or whats the release schedule? Not quite available. Everything is all designed and working th...

Division 6 VM volt meter module update - You guys win!

Okay yous guys, per your requests, I've added a buffered thru jack to the VM module. Since it now has two boards, I had a little extra room to add some other features too, like a front-panel button to switch between display modes, and the ability to monitor power supply voltages. Here's what it look...

Price = $140

Perfect Circuit Audio will have them in stock by the end of the week, followed closely by our very own MuffWiggler store.

No international dealers yet, but the Division 6 store ships across the pond.

I like using sockets or nut drivers. Make sure to get decent ones, though. Some of the El-Cheapo ones have little imperfections on their edges that will scratch the panels. Before you buy one, run your finger nail around the business edge of the socket/driver to see if you feel any raised spots or i...

Naw, no soldering needed unless you just really want to. Gatemix has two connectors, so you can pass the signal through it and on to the expansion module.

Not all the powers are available in the expansion connector, so Gatemix will still need a standard power supply connection.

I would strongly suggest Scott adding a second paralleled jack on this though. Looks like there is room and it would be more convenient than using a mult if you want to monitor a voltage that is actively doing something. That was the original plan, but then I started thinking "you know, if I get ri...
