Re: Thicket Whispers - a Ciat Lonbarde album

Yeah it's not cheap if you compare with late years 'electric music instrument' offerings in terms of music production capabilities. so it's more like buying art (and philosophy behind) than tool devices. And I see them in a way like acoustic instruments rather than electric synthesizer or alike. Als...

Re: Thicket Whispers - a Ciat Lonbarde album

Love the album! I didn't know you do CL stuff (now I know :hihi: ) Plumbutter2 is certainly an upgrade to Rollz5 in general but certain sounds of Rollz5 are not achievable on PB2 I think, because of non-voltage-controlled rollz(genuine rollz eh?) and 4! ultrasound which I so miss on PB2 (I want only...

Re: Onde: La Voix du Luthier

Very nice again and thanks for your reply to my questions! I had been waiting for the kickstarter as soon as it was introduced but alas couldn't finance one at the end. I want to play my CL gears thru it, where I usually prefer their raw sound without effects which feels organic, imaging Onde would ...

Day 2. Something a bit more typical of me and the likely use the Onde will get here

Very nice! Is listening in the actual environment still very different from recording? How do you like the sound?

Are the red outputs triangle regardless of timber knob or they also change wave form? I no longer have the Quatrax (Serge is expensive), but the scope video I posted above was a droning red output- i.e. it's the variable waveforms, not just triangles. Ah, thanks, that's good! Now when can I afford ...

Are the red outputs triangle regardless of timber knob or they also change wave form? If so, with sliders affect timber, patching and external processing would be very interesting. And being more bars makes it more interesting, too.

There's relatively sufficient patch examples in the download package. Those seems to be collected over time and not everything works in an apparent manner but many of them are great and suggest lots of hints and ideas. The thing is, it is still not covering many of Shnth goodness yet. Shnth (Fish) i...

Lyra-8 is an interesting and great synth but the sound variety is not comparable to Shnth I think. An organic feeling analog synth and hardcore digital experimental device. Lyra-8 is quick to get those sound (very good nice sound) but for me it's sort of samey over time while Shnth isn't quick and e...

I'm sure Shnth has an enormous potential for what it can do, capable of so wide range of sound creation. It's just about how much you'd devote to program it. And that's where it isn't so instant or easy (for me at least). It's maybe like learning FM synth; to become familiar with what various opcode...

Very interesting. I only have a Sidrax and have never measured its output so thought they're only for pitch (and still think so). Tetrax's sliders work like this way by any chance? or, if this is the new feature this adds more to my Quatrax desire :nana:

Thanks for the review. So envy ya! The sliders also change the waveshape as well as frequency. I've never played a Tetrax (had a Sid for a bit), but from what I understand, the timbre works similarly if not the same? Are you sure with this? Do you mean to say every sliders change waveshapes in addit...

I'm also interested in the new green jacks... timbre and new green, so enticing.

I play my sidrax more than before and always want more barrs. Let me someday get the monster :hail:

btw today I accidentally found hair dryer's air can play my sidrax!

metronome (mechanical ones) is often not extremely accurate and so it is interesting to sample the timing and use for clock. I used a piezo pickup and env follower, a little pain is the setting up and the clockwork doesn't last long.

I get how Peter says Rolzer is an expander to PB; think it's not a must-have for some PB users. I haven't been hugely successful of utilizing Rolzer with other than PB - with Sidrax, it can modulate blue/grey/green and it's nice but haven't found other way to use. with Coco I used for green 'castle'...

but if you include Tocante in your list, methinks IGM keyboard is more of this side (only it's not banana) :hyper:

owning PB and rolzer already, I often want more voices, so like only 'center part' of PB as an expander... ultrasounds/gongs/avdogs and mixer only thing.
