Re: Dove Audio WTF/Waveplane Expansion
Dave, has Paula ever mentioned an OS update that would kick in a screen saver on the WTF? I tend to randomly patch in modulation to the waveforms if my system is going to be on a long time, even if I'm not using the WTF, just to prevent screen burn in. As Josaka said I don't think that it will be a...

Basimilus Iteritas Magnus is one of the few digital that sounds great.. the DDVCO sounds great bit still unclear on its osc chip :) like that new udo thing.. its pretty thin to my ears.. its good for electronicy type sounds but heavily relies on voice/osc stacking and the (nice) chorus/widner..not m...

Re: Oooh, ahhh, that's how it always starts - Digital Modules in 5U
digital.. nice electronic edge {good used in combo with old 5u}.. generally underwhelming and weedy sounding.. all these hydrasynth and other fancy new wavetable things are weak to me..
the noise engineering stacked osc sound decent..
massive hype of you ask me.. reminds me of the DX7 days..

Re: How were sound effects done on Moog modulars ?
every osc is an LFO with variable speeds...
take a sine out(or any out) plug it onto what you want to modulate.. higher rates for Audio rate

square is the big one.. I have a bunch of old synths the SW 901 sq is king.. the roland system 100 a close second(not the M) the other great sq are the Kobols...with the SW921 and the MOS LAB 921 also being good.. the depth and tone of the SW are something else.. Im sure the originals have even more...

Re: Dirty filters
mostly its overdriven filters .. not the filter per say but the drive part...you can drive/overdrive any filter.. like the moog has a cp3 to drive the sound and the sem has drive you can also drive the resonance on many..or just feed the audio out of the filter back into itself(using a couple of spl...

Re: Modules that MULTIPLY clock signals.
not exactly what you asked but this can multiply signals.. Interesting... now I wonder if the SSL Tap Tempo LFO does the same thing since it has a SYNC IN / CLOCK OUT as well as a Multiplier knob... unfortunately I SOLD this module not realizing its full potential (not the first time I've done such...

Re: How were sound effects done on Moog modulars ?
most of the effects you mention are done with filter self resonance or/and a low pitched osc fed into the filter.. not really low lfo.. a lot of tv game stuff is running sequences fast.. modulation is your friend here.. examples might help..

Re: Custom Synthesizers.com Modules
on the Q105B are there two pcb's? Are their power inputs in series or do you have to use two power ins to it? I've been wanting three or four lag generators for a while to do sinple envelope curves off gates to filters without tying up EG's. This could be a solution. two power sources.. unless mayb...
