Re: Anyone know of anything comparable to the Percall?
I don't know Juno, and Befaco direct adds about 50 dollars to the price. I guess mostly due to the exchange rate. As for that Addac, are there trigger inputs? I'm kind of just looking for triggered gates with a decay control if that's a thing.

Anyone know of anything comparable to the Percall?
Can't seem to find the Percall anywhere online except (possibly) direct. I guess Befaco is based in Europe. Is there anything comparable to it's functionality? Saw a video of someone or other making percussive sounds from noise or radio static. It was pretty cool but it's a somewhat simple enough fu...

Re: Module advice for a hybrid rig
I've been using CV tools with an ES-8 with great results. So far I've only used this setup for calibrating my rack to avoid pitch drift. I am, however, interested in using my O_c to sequence live. I know there is a CV in device, but after I got it calibrated, I needed to map a parameter to the incom...

Re: Korg's Reissue of the Arp Odyssey Rev2
yeah the sliders have a more vintage look to them with that color scheme. I unloaded a lot of gear to make way for some new modules. I may hang onto this one though.

Korg's Reissue of the Arp Odyssey Rev2
I bought a reissue of the Odyssey by Korg years ago (rev2). It was about 700 dollars. I'm seeing them on reverb for no less than $1000. I've been thinking about selling it, but any idea why the uptick in value? Am I missing something?

Studio PC Build Guide
I've been on the same laptop for ages and it's not dead, but a new machine should be purchased. I know you can save by building your own, but I don't know enough about computers to deal with what's compatible with what and what parts are decent and what ones are no bueno. Anyone build their own or h...

All around swell guy, Kilowatts, and his new album "Eight Experiments". As expected. Glorious. He's done it again.

Firewire 410 interface
This is kind of a whacky question but is a Firewire 410 interface worth anything anymore? Is firewire even a thing anymore? I tried to sell mine on reverb for about 20 bucks and the guy ended up returning it because he couldn't get it to function with his system. I'd rather not throw the thing in th...

Two albums over about a decade: https://rinse-repeat.bandcamp.com/
Third one is recorded, not mixed and will likely end up that way.

Re: Tuning aid for a VCO
Ok cool. So with the Z3000 that should be easy with the readout. Tune it to 440 or whatever base note and the O_c will keep it "in tune" relative to the original setting despite the VCO not being fed back into the O_c?
Thank you, BTW

Re: Tuning aid for a VCO
What about quantizers? O_c has a quantizer in one of the modes. I never understood how it could tune the VCO since it is in ahead of it in the signal chain though. I've used the ES-8 with ableton and the cv tools which works great, but I don't always want to be connected to the computer. Its a more ...

Re: Next project?
Thank you all. I'm not opposed to sourcing my own parts and I definitely want to learn more. I let the magic smoke out of a module once and Abe's documentation on the next build helped me understand that the resistors that were a fail safe burned up when I inverted a chip. I far from understand how ...

Next project?
I'm a relative newbie to soldering and DIY. I've built a delptronics wiichuck and AI's kits up to the first smd kit. I'm not sure I'm ready to jump into that world yet. Looking for the project that is at the same time useful for my rack. Any suggestions? I love Abe's build guides and he's super help...

So I finally finished hooking up my dual Studio Bus boards to my Tip Top Access Panel. Some modules seem to work fine. Got the Mimeophon in the post and set right to hooking it up. Did not power on. All I had hooked up was an optomix and a Z8000 sequencer. What gives? I know it's not a lot to go on....

If you're on Windows you could try Asio4all to make both interfaces look like one. Mac has interface aggregation built-in. In either case it works for some people and doesn't for others. This worked! Thank you. I had an ASIO driver but not 4all. It took some figuring which inputs/outputs were what ...

Got my ES-8 to discover I'll need to use either my normal audio interface as the i/o or the ES-8. I didn't realize I couldn't just use the ES-8 and my audio interface @ the same time. Am I missing something? I tried using the ES-8 to come out to my mixer and it was distorted as all get out. Time to ...
