Shhh, I don't need to know such silly things! :P Yeah, much as I hate to admit it, odds are that will probably wind up being the route I go (or at least get one of those 1/4" to 1/8" adapter modules in a 1U setup)

whitewulfe... just get a couple of serge panels and call it a day. You'll thank me. I'm curious as to why you're recommending a couple of serge panels. I would only be able to purchase one M-class on my current budget, which would be a fairly limited setup compared to the 15-20 (or more, if resourc...

as for that bit about modcan a/b they are the same modules almost entirely. little changes here and there but not much. the big difference is just the different form factor and the banana jacks on a series. Ah, such is good to hear. As well, I'm also noticing that Modcan A is black in colour. yes, ...

:zen: Not all are worthy of the White Synth! :zen: But, but... I like black... *laughs nervously* It wouldn't match the black desk, black shelving, black headphones, black pants... lol Those of us with really large unicorn peni all use 5U. It's the law. No. Seriously, you're not adverse to diy? Tha...

I would respectfully suggest not heeding decaying.sine's advice, at least initially. The man is a sick synthesis masochist who wears t-shirts emblazoned with unicorn penises for goodness sake. He's not to be trusted. There really isn't any reason to start messing with adaptor cables after you...

Frac is a good middle ground between 5U and Euro. It is functionally dense, and building Blacet kits is a great way to get started. If you are at all interested in bananas you should check out BugBrand. I use Frac and Euro together. I am really glad that I started with Frac for the basic, essential...

Wow, a lot of good solid advice from everyone so far. I'm especially liking how even if someone has a personal preference for a certain style they'll still talk open mindedly about the various options that are out in the proverbial field. And wow, several more replies since I replied to the first th...

No really, as of like last week or something, I have both now and another modular format as well. And I have lots of personal opinions on that gear that matter more than anyone else's, but the bottom line is that these tools are extensions of ourselves and we get no more or less out of them than th...

They weren't kidding when they said options were plentiful

Well, after lurking here for a while (and putting in a few words here and there on a few threads), I figured it would be best to finally step out of the shadows and actually say hi. Yes, I'll admit, this will probably turn into another of the various (infamous?) "help me narrow things down" threads,...

I'm still in the research phase for building a modular setup (or just outright buying a Wretch), but after finding Metasonix by sheer accident (I think I found out about it through some gabber mailing list or something to that effect), but the main thing that caught my attention with Metasonix is qu...

I couldn't resist replying to this... Been a fan for quite some time, was introduced to his sounds at the first "Harvest Moon Festival" back in what, '96? Haven't kept up with anything past "Ministry Of Archers" though... Was introduced to his music by the owner of "The Mud Hut" in Edmonton, and alm...
