One of my 9U 104hp cases is distinctly headed into ‘full Mutable’ territory. Essentially the other (mostly Intellijel) modules slowly got pushed out, leaving almost 2 rows of Mutable, 1 row of Make Noise and a few supporting bits... With Marbles and Stages, the only modules whose fate I’m still pond...

Slowly now. Step by step. No assumptions, nobody gets hurt. I’m simply looking for an instruction. And yeah, I’m used to calibrating modules, all of the time. I’m not arguing nothing. I have not insinuated your gear is ‘faulty’. If there’s one ‘flaw’ I’m pointing out it’s your typical style of inter...

Because I cannot control the accuracy of the A/D converter I purchase. Also, in the CV input chain, there are 2 op amps that, again, have errors themselves. So, there has to be calibration in order to counter the errors. You have seen Eurorack modules with trim pots, correct? Now, what I think you ...

... done. And now? Knowing that other manufacturers equally face these limitations, and still, for some reason, seem to have no issues producing modules that conform to common industry standards, i.e. A=440 Hz. As much as I like Synthesis Technology products, it appears typical for customers’ questi...

I’m new to E-352, and maybe I missed something, but is there any reason why Frequency-Quantize -> Quantize : On by default results in notes being off by some 10 cts.? I.e. reference A-4 not 440Hz but 442/443Hz, etc. - consistently across the board... (And yes, I saw this could be adjusted via Quanti...

Extremely satisfied with my Phil Jones BG-100 'Bass Cub' , but probably a BG-75 'Double Four' would work just as well given your requirements. Very small footprint. Decent output, but not amazingly loud. Pricewise... not the very cheapest though Really wasn't happy with the Roland Micro Bass Cube RX...

Appreciate the in-depth responses, gentlemen! I’m not here to point fingers or something. Just trying to figure out why certain combinations of (popular) modules were having issues. Of course, you’d have to forgive me for wishing E102 was be a bit more ‘tolerant’ of other module implementations, but...

https://soundcloud.com/hanz/e102-external-clocking-test-not-music Uploaded a very simple test sequence to demonstrate my findings. This time I used Intellijel's Metropolis sequencer (latest firmware) finding pretty much the same issues with external clocking. Fortunately I found that running the 'o...

I have a tendency to sneak up on modules and put precision locking dials on any coarse pots I can. Hey John, I’ve been considering these knobs for some time (I like the ones that come factory installed on the Asys RS-95e...). However, could you explain how the knobs you’re using are mounted to repl...

After owning (and experimenting with) E102 for quite some time, I think I have a good handle on how it’s supposed to work. However, I’m still encountering strange / unexpected results when clocking the E102 externally (via CLOCK IN). Here (somewhat depending on the CV sources) E102 often starts gene...

Coming from a well-running Hackintosh running Yosemite, going to High Sierra definitely was not the easy experience I was hoping for. Possibly due to older hardware (legacy bios, Intel I7 920 on X58) or from switching to Clover - in any case, it took me a few days (building custom DSDT, figuring out...

The PW/LEVEL sets either pulsewidth or volume based on the waveform you have selected. If I remember correctly pulsewidth applies only to the square waveform, the rest would be volume. The PW/LVL CV input can therefore act as the built-in (volume) VCA you refer to. The thing that also may throw you ...

LxD opto gate can function both as VCA and VCF, both of which your system currently lacks. You also need multiples as Rings and esp. Clouds thrive on CV inputs, and you have far less CV sources... Actually, with a system this small I would recommend to ditch uScale and use external MIDI/CV if you ab...

But it sounds like you have yet not explored the awesome power of VCA’s - controlled by Branches if you will.
