So this synth keeps showing up at the booths with new stuff. Sync in and a sequencer now (64 step). Fast sound design focused. The keys look Elektronish. There are three slots for sampling currently using the granular engine. Not OP1 like, but it has inputs with volume adjustment, so the hardware is...

anyone here get their hands on a Bastl Softpop? wondering about how simiiliar that is to a Blippoo... any input much appreciated! . Softpop is interesting in that it's kind of a Swiss Army knife with the envelope follower, external inputs sound/mod, feedback circuit, and dual Vco and multi mode fil...

I have a black 16 with twin sync'd for unison and the extra I/O. On a Win 10 machine it's rock solid. Very impressed with the setup. I don't track with a ton of plugs, but mixing doesn't feel too limited when stacking their plugs. Routing tracking to 2 buss mix using Daw to route I/O is great. Still...

After watching some of Jeremy Reds (RMR) recent tutorials, I realized I was ignoring this filthy distortion on the Z. The only downside to using it appears on transitions between patterns where there may be an audible click/pop on certain frequencies. Nonetheless, I'll be using the random fx combos ...

OP-Z takes highest track step # of the active tracks and loops that. You'd have to adjust each track to match to taste. I'll play more with this over the next week.

Buy more . PB will feast on them quickly. A low gain box might also be a good addition to the group to CV share some of the outside world. Read notes about brown jacks if you haven't already. Have fun!

It is SO. FUCKING. CONVOLUTED to import samples onto this thing. Same as OP1, outside of dumping the files into the specific folders if you want to be organized. One thing that doesn't work on the latest OS is ejecting the disk(Win10). You have to actually unplug the cord from the Z to register a s...

OP-Z has this duty covered 100%. Batteries carry the full trip and you can shift from composition to mixing on the fly. Finish the ride listening to the full track start to finish. Once you're bored of the stock sounds you can load a new batch in whenever. Song management is cake, and you can clone ...

momentary. Another helpful tool with synapsis is the passive Folktek resist attenuator module.

No user local load samples?? Seems like an odd feature to leave out. This may be too structured for general sampler usage if I'm reading the features right. :waah:

CoCo has tested my patience more than plumbutter, so that might also sway your decision with one being more instantly gratifying vs a slower build up. With PB you can fall into patterns, and a nice composition all by itself. With Coco you want to preplan a little more and bring in outside material t...

Plug ts cable from jack to far right out jack on module (Out). Place trigs on track 1-8, shift select trigs you want to fire on module, pr...

Bummer, I may need to swap drives and try the Gotek. I was able to fetch half of the disk samples that came with the P2002, so hopefully these can get saved back onto a flash drive.

I have put a gotek in my P2000; flashed with the flashfloppy firmware. Seems to work well… I imaged all of the disks which came with my sampler when I got it last year — they’re mainly a bit random (drum loops, odd sounds) but available as a zip file of hfe images from the Facebook ‘sequential samp...

I bought a Kordbot; the build quality was poor: thin plastic casing; when you hit one pad the ones on either side would dip noticeably; the encoders were hard to dial in etc. I had to disassemble mine when I first started it up because one of the keys was permanently engaged. Not the end of the wor...
