Re: New SSF Entity Release - Percussion Synthesizer

Working on a new Entity Kick right now and a new percussion will follow. Now is the time for any requests on the new Perc and will try and implement what I can into the design. The new kick will be quite different from the Bass/Drum but you will still be able to make bass lines like the original. T...

Re: New intellijel wavefolder/crossfader: bifold

Very interesting timbres, you're making me considering getting an LPG. I typically feed my Bifold triangular signal from the Ts-L or changing waveforms from the Mangrove, and your patch makes me think the soft filtered envelope of a low pass gate can add a lot of warmth to the output.

Re: Post pics of your euro setup!

You know, when these pod cases first came out I immediately wrote them off as a pointless waste. But here I am now with my third one and I'm just really liking the basic utility of them. I take a few modules out of the main case to travel with or use as a side-piece to another stand-alone synth. I ...

Ok! Buy a used one then? :sb: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/offers/view/296679 Haha, I saw that one as well just after posting my last message and messaged that user directly, already in talks of shipping this module to China, where I'm located :hihi: Thanks again! Re: best sequencer with slides?

Not sure if that's a solution you'd be after but you could always use an external slew limiter, which may also add the benefit of added control over your slew rate (ths disting has a decent algorithm for this).

My humble 2x104 contribution! https://i.imgur.com/doxXbOg.jpg I have about 6+2 hp left, and I'm not too sure which route to go now - on the one hand, I want to bring more filtering diversity (I love the 2144 but its resonance tends to be a bit on the quiet side), but I also wouldn't mind more drum ...

Re: New intellijel wavefolder/crossfader: bifold

Can anyone with experience comment on how close the buchla side actually sounds like buchla? I had the feedback two59 oscillators/shaper and it’s wave folder was a clone of the buchla 259 folder and it was the warmest most organic folding ive ever heard. Not sure if I’m getting the same vibe from t...

Re: Intellijel Zeroscope 1u is out of stock pretty much everywhere, v2 coming soon?

No idea, but I'm curious as to why being out of stock would suggest a new version. Is that usually how it goes with Intellijel? My feeling is that since COVID, it's not uncommon for every retailers not to have something for a while.

Re: if only Doepfer had done this

Thinking about it, it's probably even more German to have named all of the modules something like A-110, A-111-5 or, on a night of mad inspiration, something as wild as A-174-4.

Re: Make Noise 0 Coast

Do we know exactly what the 0-coast's wavefolding does, and what kind of waveshaper techniques the Overtone and Multiply knobs can be likened to? I picked up an Intellijel Bifold, which yields very interesting wavefolding timbres, as well as an integrated mixer allowing you to balance your dry and w...

Re: Sequencer for the visually impaired

It's not a module but I wonder if the Make Noise 0ctrl could be an interesting option? It looks like it's all knobs and analog so no need to rely on LEDs or screens. I haven't used one but I can imagine it would be relatively easy to develop muscle memory with it without any need for displayed infor...

Re: New intellijel wavefolder/crossfader: bifold

Been playing with mine for about a day now and the timbres it makes are really lovely. It's great to do "subtle wavefolding" with the mixer capabilities. Being able to mix between your clan dry signal and your wavefolded signal is one of my favourite things about my 0-coast, and while the timbers ar...

Anyone ordered their FX Aid from Elevator Sound in Bristol? It looks like all the major shops in the UK have been shipped over the last few weeks. The guys are super responsive though so I'm sure it'll come in time, but I was wondering if anyone has had more luck than me?

I don't have it but I'd buy it in an heartbeat if the 4 channels had a little independency from one another. I guess one could always use a fast clock and put S&Hs with different rates/patterns a the outputs... Yeah... I ended up getting a René 2, and the two are actually great pals as well, with t...

Re: Noise Engineering Mimetic Digitalis

Yeah I've always been a little surprised at how it doesn't seem to enjoy the popularity it deserves. Maybe a lot of people tend to see it as a live CV-recorder/stepped looper, when it can do so much more. In fact my only grip with it is that the knob has a very low sensitivity for live CV recording,...

Feedback wanted! I'm very interested in the Entity, mostly because I am looking for a highly CV-able percussion module that, well... isn't the BIA. I've wanted to get a BIA for a long time, but the more I consider it, the more it seems to me its general sound color just isn't for me. On the other ha...

Cold mac looks interesting It really is. I've gotten mine last month and it's really plenty of fun. It's the kind of module that - if you get on well with it - will end up doing something different in every patch it's involved in. At its core, it's really not that complicated, and when it comes to ...

While it's not reasonable from Make Noise to expect everyone to suddenly start enjoying clicks and noise in a creative way, I don't mind them either. Re: Intellijel Quadrax

Excellent news, thank you everyone. Juno just confirmed to me their current batch is from mid-April, so it should be a safe order. Glad to read that the 12-bit chip doesn't seem to cause any issues post-firmware update. If I still get a 12-bit and it sounds fine, I'll probably just keep it anyway.

Has anyone ordered their Quadrax from Juno in the UK in the past 1 or 2 months? It's the most convenient place for me and I'm wondering if their current units are still using the 12-bit chip. I reached out to them but they're not in a position to check due to the current situation unfortunately.
