Fuck Behringer!! Everything they have made sucks crap and is lacking in quality
if you feel a need to express this well worn viewpoint do it over on the behringer practices thread... this thread is for (also critical) discussion of the Barp2500 modules specifically.
Can't disagree with what your saying but I think there needs to be distinction made between accurate & precise. In this case, is the counterintuitive idea that the digital music industry actually more harmful to the environment than the old physical industry generally accurate? I don't necessarily ...
Well my goal is to have a sort of 'patch-field' in the middle section of the 7u case... the Make noise 1U in the middle of the shared system is brilliant... so pretty much only modules with only jacks (expert sleepers, mi links etc.), that the labels are oriented 90° counter clockwise is acceptable....
I propose a pendant to 'Godwin's Law':
That as the number of posts in a Beh thread approaches 30 the chance of discussion devolving into a pseudo-intellectual linguistic semantic one, approaches 100%...
I had one these lying around... cut out 3 8HP chunks and glued them end to end... and m5 bolted them to the case on one side... very solid, works a charm...
On the other hand. Maybe.
Beh. pressing the price of the utility products down means that people on a limited budget can get the necessary (a midi kbrd w CV etc.soundcard) gear and then have more to spend on really innovative boutique items. There are many operating with a fixed inelastic gear budget.
But we can all agree the brostep isn't a counterfeit right? They haven't put the Behringiner name on it... Did Uli actually break in to Arturia HQ and steal the CAD drawings for the Keystep? Did the Chinese factory that made the Arturia keystep retain copies of the CAD files and then pass them on to...
yes... that reverb stinks...they could have stuck a bbd delay in with some mod inputs... that would have enhanced the sound palette, avoided the cost of a real spring tank (which is apparently why they went digital verb) and kept it all analog...
and a stats approach looking for an r number... or p value is only as good as ones predetermined variables. and stamping your conclusion meaningful because you get a particular std. dev. is well.... how are you meaningfully going to make sure that you are randomly sampling the spectrum of vinyl prod...
Yes embodied energy assessments are done all the time. In some specific cases they can be useful for guiding policy, at other times they are not worth the paper and energy they use to produce them... (see what I did there)... The act of listening to music as a download is an ongoing production proce...
I suppose the other bracket should be there to support the other panel edge, since the single screw 8HP modules still have the rail behind the panel to add support when plugging in patch cords. A change in design would be to make the mounting surface (part with the screw holes for the modules) span...
Yes the rails of the 1U have been removed from the case... and it looks like an 8HP panel fits, Good point, a single one of those ADDAC adaptors might work, for mounting the ES3 using just the single mounting holes --wouldn't work for mounting 2 4hp ES6's though... but worth a punt... thanks for the...
Uli Behringer tucks his t-shirts in and wears a belt with them. Ask yourself, what sort of monster does such a thing...? Have you seen how the youngsters dress these days? That is the height of fashionable... with a fanny-pack worn across the shoulder... and sandals and socks... irony becomes tragedy
apology accepted... strettara... does Italian differntiate between 'good-capable' and 'good-not evil'?? Yamaha can't do something out of the goodness of their heart, they are a company and thus have no heart... There is no practical way to accurately weigh the individual environmental cost of a digi...
did 'he' produce the cork sniffer thing? did he make it himself? did he order underlings to do it? or did some underlings do it and he maybe at most cursorily nodded approval?
apropos Fromm?? A much better reference in relation to business ethics would be Milton Friedman, 'Businesses have no business being ethical' and I say that as a pretty hardline marxist materialist, because whenever a business talks about ethics they are lying! Nike doesn't hire kæpernik for any ethi...
So how many hours in the day, do people imagine, Uli works? It is a big company, he may have not had anything personally to do with 'swing'. Of course he bears responsibility for setting a tone in the company and for allowing it to continue. And for hiring people that would behave like that... He ma...
