Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Ah I thought, and early posters were under the impression, that it was a directly (well51%Chinese shadowheld) operated Behringer facility. Are non-music tribe things made there? Yes the pace of development in China is really something. Anecdotes about Chinese contract factories from just 10 years ag...

Point to these academic studies then. https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=csr+corporate+social+responsibility&btnG= 287 000 results... If I were to pick out some of my favs (or own product) then that would be cherry picking. Much better that you go through it all yourself to for...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Actually what I meant was that corps' CSR and charitable programs are not measured dollar for dollar and no one would get sacked in the way you proposed. It's not how it works. Most academic research points to corpCSR programs, underneath all the obfuscation, being SOLELY measured on a dollar for d...

I think it’s safe to presume you’re not a shareholder in a corporation, or if you are, not a well informed one. Ahh you got me. it's a fair cop guv... I do not directly own any shares. I am part of the 99% AND Obviously owning a single share in a corp does not give one any leverage. But shareholder...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Corps like Yamaha and Korg do not give money away. If they donated and didn't promote it then they must be writing it off on taxes somehow. If I was a shareholder or boss at Yamaha/Korg and found out that you as an employee had arranged giving money away without getting at least the same value in pr...

And we are back to the 'you're a shit if you don't share exactly the same level of moral outrage as me' argument. At this point there’s very few in the music community who don’t know where B stands ethically. If you’re buying their stuff you’re either ok with/actively for this behavior or you don’t ...

Re: Behringer ARP 2500 modules

The true test of whether these are mistakes -or not- is what Behringer does when you bring the 'mistake' to their attention. My conclusions about them are most definitely colored by my experience doing exactly that. They've been told. Where's the updates? The disclaimers? The corrections? Keep drin...

Re: Behringer ARP 2500 modules

It is not so much that Beh is standing on the shoulders of giants, more that they are taking a piggyback ride from others who are standing on the shoulders of giants. They clearly have a tactic of wholesale copying the work of clones and not the original vintage gear. It is shear incompetence that t...

KSS don't ascribe to malice what can adequately be explained by incompetence.
There are people working at behringer who don't even know what a synthesizer is, let alone an ARP2500.

The law would be very different in different countries. So Arturia would have to make a determination about where they would want to run the case. And then it would only apply there.

There is something inherently racist worrying about how 'not enough black people are involved in x or y'... It is progressive but also racist. Affirmative action might be a useful way to right the wrongs of previous racial injustice, but it must be time limited. Every black student at Harvard knows ...

Well my goal is to have a sort of 'patch-field' in the middle section of the 7u case... the Make noise 1U in the middle of the shared system is brilliant... so pretty much only modules with only jacks (expert sleepers, mi links etc.), that the labels are oriented 90° counter clockwise is acceptable....
