Damn, you and Delepathy are blessed people!
So what kinds of tubes does this rock? Is that a 5696 for a thyratron?
Also noticed it sounds less noisy than the R55, especially at lower frequencies— speaking of which, this sounds like it can go much lower than the R55! What kind of range does it get via CV?
Starting to get pretty excited for this.

Delighted to see it even includes the VCA input in RK size. Nice work, Eric! Envious, Ritchie.

Due to the amount of "cold inrush" current coming in from the Sodomizer panel, I had to find a PSU sufficient enough to even power it. Which, in the Serge world, doesn't seem to go above 1.7A (which'll power up to ~5 17" panels) for commercial PSUs. 1.7A would've been just enough to ONLY power the Sodomizer lol. Thankfully, Logan Erickson (MA) builds his own "Ammo Box" PSUs, which carry a hefty 3.4A. I asked if he could possibly build a custom supply for me, that reaches at least 4A, but he didn't have the time. So I bought an Ammo Box. With that, it should be here within the next two weeks, along with a CGS74 distro board. By then I'll be posting some demos of my own. I'll forever be jealous of ritchiedrums though (;

I would have expected a 1.7A supply to run that load, but then I have NO idea what kind of power supplies STS had used or is using. No one seems able to tell me. I suspect it's a low cost computer brick. That's what Random Source is using in the PS-M and the powered boat. There's nothing on EGRES about power supplies. It's also badly outdated and full of broken links.
In my world 3.4 amps isn't very hefty, but then there are absurd numbers of tubes in my Euro systems. If you wish I could build a better supply for your Serge panels. Just pay for the parts. It would be far cheaper than anything STS or RS is offering.
For chrissakes....this thing costs $32 and puts out 16.8 amps.

Is this how they will look? I've been gear-lusted into contemplating a row of Metasonix. I shoud add for the sound. I love the sound.

In a world full of cloned vintage circuits and increasingly convincing softsynths, Metasonix is a sound that you still can't get anywhere else.
@gringostar I have plenty of power available.

Eric, any update on when the RK7 will be out? Is is what's next, or is your new standalone synth next?

In a couple weeks--panels are being screenprinted
Re: Just a Metasonix RK7 Tube VCO module
Cool! I’ll have to start looking into Hz/V to V/oct modules then.

You go too high too early, man. The beat sounds like the a slow mudslide and the melodies that go on and on.

It’s the only reason I keep the SQ1 around.
Eléctrica (electric) Nāda (the yoga of sound).
Re: Just a Metasonix RK7 Tube VCO module
I'm currently using the Ladik U-202 V/oct to Hz/V converter with my R-55.
Re: Just a Metasonix RK7 Tube VCO module
Would be helpful if you could show how to set the controls, please?
