I'm currently using the Ladik U-202 V/oct to Hz/V converter with my R-55.
Would be helpful if you could show how to set the controls, please?
Don't have video capability right now, still working on that bit. And I'm still working on dialing in the calibration, but so far I have the Tune knob at roughly 50%, and Range at about 90%, and that seems to work pretty well with my Zorx ribbon controller, which is it's range knob set at about 60%.

Any update on when the RK7 will be available? I have the money if you have the goods.

Cool! I’ll be getting one for sure. :sb:
My first modular track where I used drum modules! BIA, Entity Percussion, Chimera, Elements. There's also a ton of FM cross modulation from the Instruō Cš-L in there and the Metasonix R56 is a big part of the sound. :star:

Don't see the Euro RK7 on Modulargrid yet. Is there an MG-ready picture of the module available? I'm trying to plan out a rack upgrade.

Looks LOVEEEELY, and dig that it self-oscillates without an external VCO!!

Curious about the 5702 subminiature. Most images I see of them look like they have a long lead of cabling on their butts. I know you rate tubes to be very conservative but if they ever need to be swapped out, is it just as simple as soldered to the board with the leads clipped?

Best success on this. Saving up right now. Very happy to see it!

Aw Christ, I was gonna do my taxes tonight so I'd definitely have the money when BCM has a few but they're already sold out! :bang:
Guess I'll wait for the next run...
glad to see people are buying them though

Eric, are you sending them to any other retailers? Are you making more?

And most importantly, who got these initial ones? I missed out.

BCM, AH and Escape From Noise got the first ones. More are "in the pipeline". Please try to be patient, pedaling as fast as I can etc.

They only come with long leads and were soldered into the circuit. It's better that way anyhow---submini tube sockets exist but are "less than totally reliable".

You ought to see the innards of a KWR-37 "Jason" encryption machine. 500 submini tubes soldered into PC boards, which were brand-new tech in 1958. A maintenance nightmare and still one of the silliest things the NSA ever made. Sometimes they beat on it with a rubber mallet to "fix" problems.

Thanks for the info, though I meant which specific people got the first batch, not retailers. I'm hoping some wigglers got them and can post their thoughts.

Well.....we appear to have run out of RK7 PC boards. Not sure if more can be ordered, it appears so.

Does anyone out there have the slighest interest in a Serge/RS dual thyratron vco?
