I would say a quadruple dummy actually, for not mentionning NIN in your ad and accepting to ship overseas. What were you thinking ?

You seem to be right!
The bidder has more than 67000 ratings, it makes him more likely a professional seller than a buyer, and the item description looks like it was made by a professional store.

I can't help but think that someone somewhere thought "a $1600 buy-it-now? Shit, I'm gonna bid on this for $1250, and then flip it for profit".

It'll be back on ebay in a few weeks.

I just looked at the BCM site, they are asking $825 for the last one.

It's Roger's main business, the same as most businesses--buy low and sell high.
He sells a lot of vintage gear (not on his website because he has so much).
And trust me, he asks as much as he possibly can.
Because he's in Hollywood, and he gets rock stars and major-label people over all the time, why not charge high prices?
Anything that's out of production gets similar treatment at other music stores.

I can't tell him to stop, he's been a big help to me over the past 11 years.

Don't forget to complain about Guitar Center selling vintage guitars for maximum prices. They've got a special website for vintage gear.

I just checked--they have a 1962 Vox AC15 amp.
Which is a pretty minimal model. Not in perfect condition, even.
They want $9995 for it.

What´s wrong with people?
Somebody obviously learned from the TM-1 auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Metasonix-TX-2-Butt ... 5640b8992e

http://cgi.ebay.com/Metasonix-TX-1-Agon ... 56407d5e5a

But I´m mostly annoyed because I really really want them. :ripbanana:
