Instead of an outboard unit, I just found myself thinking how nice it would be just to have a simple Metasonix mixer module. Dead simple; two channels; nothing fancy. Just two inputs, Input Gain for each, and maybe an Output Level. I'd buy that with my next paycheck!

Eric has said before that something like that would be huge and expensive- and probably better as an outboard thing.
