Re: Time Machine price question
I've seen quite a few go for a lot less than that. Maybe $250?

I had three in my system at one stage, best BBD I have ever used.

Re: Time Machine price question
If you're a DIYer then you can get the PCBs from SynthCube for $65USD (at this writing)
As for price I wouldn't expect to be paying $250 considering the MN3005 goes for $50 alone. Perhaps I'm wrong though.
I do know we just did a custom build for a client which cost more than that.
As HM mentions, it is an EXCELLENT delay.

Re: Time Machine price question
I don’t think synthcube is selling the frac pcb, I assume that is the larger 5u pcb?
Frac stuff isn’t all that popular. Used modules often sell for less than the the kits did. A time machine in other formats, like the bootleg buchla ones, sell for much more.
But yes, wonderful delay. I’ve since converted mine back to frac but originally built a standalone one…

Re: Time Machine price question
The PCB is definitely a monster.
I know what you mean about the popularity of Frac. I got my start with a PAiA system but decided to focus of MU. I even went as far as to convert my Frac modules to MU format.

Re: Time Machine price question
We do have a small number of original Frac size PCBs at the moment and plan to make more in support of the Frac 're-launch' using the MN3005 from Xvive.

Re: Time Machine price question
Trying to decide if I'm going to sell my Frack Rack w/five modules and I started playing around with mine last night for the first time in a very long time. It can be a bit finicky but it does sound really nice.

Re: Time Machine price question
It's a great sounding delay!
Re: Time Machine price question
I got a bare PCB and kit without the MN3005 from John and built it up using a synthcube original MN3005. Works great and really like it. I did a front panel from Front Panel Express and it wasn't cheap. I did have some issues with mine. Didn't have the ticks/scales for the pots quite right and this was before scales were added to FPE SW. I went back and added them using the current FPE SW rev 6.33 and moved the labels +,-, ENV (EXT) and INT left some. Here's the file for the panel, feel free to use it.
BUT!
I have not had this version made. Print it out 1X and make sure it will work for you before you have it made! Specifically look to see if the tick marks will work with the knobs you are using.
If you want cheaper versions remove the fill for the lettering/graphics or go with a straight aluminum panel (not anodized) and printed (not engraved) lettering. Euro-rack people have done the straight aluminum and printed lettering so examples are out there.
And if someone does make it let us know how it works.
Thanks
Jay S

Re: Time Machine price question
I have one behind a MOTM panel I could just never let go when I moved out of 5u in 2011. I keep telling myself I’m going to repanel it in Frac. It’s on the list. How I have lost hours playing with that delay.
