I just ordered the Cloud Generator. Only 1 left now!

The 4th rack will be full soon (also awaiting a Metalbox 8008 and Dual Drum).

F340/350 In Stock

As seen on the Blacet Announce List this AM:

"We have *one* of each that can ship today!

Otherwise, our next run is due to ship January 2012 and we are taking orders for all
four modules at this time.

http://www.blacet.com/store2.html

John"

I think these two modules are extras from the last run....

New, beautiful Blacet-cabinet just in construction. I’m sure to have much fun with all Fxxx modules in a few weeks.

Spent some quality time today with my new blacet terrarium. It's ridiculously good, and immediately a favorite module. Endlessly flexible, and really great sounding. No system should be without one (and a true shame it was never made available in 5U).

Cheers,
Roger

Here is my first bit of experimentation with the module recorded yesterday:

I got mine and stuck it in the rack and had a good long faff about with it yesterday night, it's very good! Top end sequencer pattern with slow LFOs modulating x and y sounded very nice and compelling on the ear I thought. many thanks to both John and Paul* for making this happen

*there needs to be a george and ringo of synthesizer makers as well, obv.

that sounds really really good, like an analogue miniwave (although i know it's actually nothing like an analogue miniwave). great stuff! if you only had two blacet vco's, would you be tempted to swap one out for one of these? i'm thinking about it...

If it was a choice between the 2nd Blacet VCO & the F350, I'd go with the latter if I was limiting myself to two oscillators... Don't think I could part with any of my 3 Blacet VCOs though :)

thanks, i had 3 blacet vcos, but only have two now, and only really have space for two. so it would mean ditching one for the f350. guess i could save a bit, buy the f350 and live with both configurations to see would suit me best...

I've been eyeing the f350 but dont like to buy nondiy. Good news is these modules seem to be very popular and are going past the limited time/run.

It gives people time to actually get them.

a) the reality is: as time goes on, the # of parts in thru-hole decreases and the price increases.

b) is the point in building the modular or using the modular?

c) boards will be at Blacet for all 4 modules ~ 1 week. I just got back from NAMM and undigging.

Can you be more specific about undigging...?

Tough call. I've had both for a while and don't see them as overlapping much. Hard to part with either one.

I have 2 Blacet VCOs, one Cloud Gen and one Morphing thing, it's a pretty good mix!

I missed the order window on these last 2, hopefully JB will do another run of them.
