that sounds *great*

EXACTLY the "types" of sounds I'm going for. Do you have a modular grid I could peek at?

Thank you ! Here's a MG link (I don't have the Foundation Oscillator yet though) https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1137484

Indeed I did ! I like it much, much more than Sapèl which I had previously, it's the source of modulation I reach for first everytime. Very plyable and musical.

Sooo... I (f*ckin finally) got a Multistage after convincing me for a year that I didn't need it... got the Noise & Filter while I was at it too. Both of which are heavily used here :

It's pure fun and funk. Also I feel like the CVP was born to be paired with it (indeed it probbaly was). I put it front en center of my case and I intend to have a lot of fun with it.

Hehe, thank you. Verbos is coming out with complete systems soon so you'll have the luxury of too much choice.

Oh wow! Where did you see this?

Now if only Mark would make us a quantizer I’d buy one

not sure if this is normal behaviour - if I send a gate to my Verbos Multi-Envelope gate input it will 'play through' all time (t1-3) stages even if gate/note is off well before sustain phase. Expected behaviour would be for the envelope to skip to release when gate/note off.

Is this by design or a faulty unit?

Unfortunately I was not able to test it with a keyboard in a shop, so my fault ofc if this is how the module works. this behaviour could work for sequencing i guess, but is pretty weird for keyboard playing :despair:

I think they mentionned it at Namm, also they commented on this video about the Noise & Filter :

ETA is probably the same as the Foundation Oscillator since it includes it.

Normal behaviour I guess as mine was acting like this, this is why I sold it eventualy to get a more "east coast" ADSR that stop when your release the key.

On another note I have a new track from mu upcoming LP to share with you as it contains a hell lot of Verbos elements. I made the snare drums using a very fast envelope to "open" on the fluctuating random voltage on the Random Sampling. The weird "lead" that appears at 1.19 is the CO with a few modulation played from the touchplate keaybord. The glitches in the second parts are the CO modulation oscillator in lfo speed, sent to QMMG with high resonance, opened via random triggers :

Using the pressure output from the mini horse to control the low pass filter is a lot of fun.

Is instagram not supported by the forum anymore ? Posts don't show the insta window for me.

I wanted to do a little video about how I usually setup a track, starting from nothing. No saved patterns, just tweaking on the fly. I got a bit carried away and ended up with a 30min video. If you find yourself with too much time on your hands :)

Going loopy in there :

The Multistage is really a joy to use, and make for a super expressive/powerful combo with the CVP and Multi Enveloppe. Big use of the Selector and Multi Delay as well here.

im a huge fan if all those modules as well. the delay just is so beautiful makes magic for me every time i use it.
also s/o for the random sampling... when i purchased took me so long to choose a new random module. very happy i ended up with his one. ive found myself using basically all the time in some way. i love especially the quantized n+1 output its very expressive, and i use the asr a lot more often than i thought too

i wish we could get a 10hp dual slew with exact same features from the cvp’s slew

The more I use them the more they grow on me, I think it's fantastic. I had Sapèl before and never exactly knew what it was doing so I ended up not using it much; wheareas the RS is clear as can be and I use it all the time; it's my main modulation source.

Little trick with the Random Sampling s&h is that it sound SUPER good for degrading audio !
Feed audio into it, modulate with an VCO square wave, listen to the result as you move the VCO frequency.

Especially fun to use in feedback path of the Multi-Delay ;-)
