Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS
It's a Buchla 259 style triangle core made with an opamp and a comparator (TL082 and LM311).
I can send you some (badly laid out) schematics of the CO core if you're interested.

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS
I'd love that but I'm probably too novice to really understand it. But yes please. If you know more about the general designs of triangle and saw core oscillators (like an overview...the other ones I have are AFG, and I had Atlantis in the past), that'd be great to hear. I'm just looking for an overview. I'm familiar with the CEM sound (Pro One, SH-101) but let's just say, modular VCOs often seem more ..."bespoke" :-)

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS
Sure, here's the great Aaron Lanterman analysing the 259 core:
He's uploading his 2021 course on his own channel if you're interested in following from the basics (I suspect he'll do an updated version on oscillator cores soon): https://www.youtube.com/user/abovenyquist

Yup, an Buchla 259 lecture will be coming in a week or two.

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS
Hello,
i just got a second hand complex osc and just read that they were actually two versions of that module, with and without vactrols.
How can I see/hear which version I have ?

If you have these guys on the back, you have the vactrol version.

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS
If you dig some pages back in this thread a guy posted a really great comparison video of the old and newer complex oscillator

sorry for the double post

Didn't find it in the first few pages, but found some very nice resources. Can't begin to imagine what goldmine lies in the depths of this thread...

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS
looking at these complete verbos systems at schneidersladen. they sure are expensive. oh boy! the cases seem to be super expensive as well.
Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS
Thanks, look like I've gotten myself a fat vactrol CO. Both sound great tbh, no regrets

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS
Does the same apply to thee Furthrrrr Generator or is it completely different design?
At least it's also based on the 259
