I put together a take home Pitt Pandemic Riddim Console to play with.
A sort of collection of some of the rarer and weirder modules from PM's line.
I'm running multiple paths between the Chain Reactor, Generator X and 2 LPG to create these
crazy interlocking bass/bongo/percussion patterns. The Chain Reactor was actually developed from an
idea I suggested to Richard when they were doing their limited edition designs.
Might switch out the left side with a Time Runner for some clock dividing and logic functions.
It's been forever since I had something self contained back at our apartment.
Getting some production assistance from our Lao Keetty.

Nice rack Soy Sos, I love those old Pittsburgh modules. Chain reactor is on my list, but no money available due to corona  At least I have a VILFO for now :guinness:

Thanks guys, those Noodles are my favorite because they're so lean. They actually hand test each cable!
Funny, I just checked Reverb and there are 3 VILFO, 3 Chain Reactor, 1 Generator and 1 GenXpander. None on Ebay.
The VILFO was Richard's very first design. It was supposed to be a voltage controlled LFO but actually
something went wrong and he ended up with a Voltage Influenced LFO. It's a pretty unique circuit.
The original VILFO also used this pain in the ass jack that had this really cool looking black ring on top,
but it had to be tightened from the back of the panel before soldering. It really slowed down assembly.
I was always slowing down the VILFOs and cross modulating them to get crazy rhythms, so I asked
Richard if he could pack 2 VILFOs and 2 utility LFOs in a much smaller module so it wouldn't take up so much space.
That was an early limited edition along with Crush, a double Ring Mod, GenXpander and a few others I can't remember.
Richard just confirmed maybe 100 GenXpanders were made and 25 Generator X panels.

Just got my new rack, and am working on a proper layout. It's close, but I'm not 100% sure.. Sorry for the bad lighting.

Setup moved to the kitchen, so my "home studio" can become my "home office" :waah:

Got a good deal on the SSP, not sure I will keep (may have to trade for individual modules) since I am still new/learning and it does SO much that I don't understand yet. :)

Acquired a Squid Salmple and a Voltage Block today. Already feeling just slightly overwhelmed (in the best possible way), by how much more I'm capable of now... Just need a proper envelope generator, and filter, and I'll be set for some time!

You're in a tricky spot. It's like not being able to drive but you come across a deal for a Bugatti.

The worst part is not knowing if you'd even be into the motor once you know enough about driving. Let it go a say meh or end up with regrets because it would have suited you to the ground...
But the :75: will allow purchases that will bemucb more suitable here and now.
