I had to wait six months for it to show up, but Erik Needham did an amazing job, great details, and very responsive when I had questions.

Odd positioning is right... 168hp meant power cables are a problem due to lengths... this is what I had to do so that I could get it all powered... need to order parts to make some longer cables lol

Always liked multi track recording... decided to give it a try in euro... can definitely do more than 4 with Morphagene and Assimil8r in a pinch if I needed more tracks.

This is my second picture, with probably 6 months, or more, since the last one... It's now time to pull all the modules and regroup things according to function! And while I am passively adding modules that I find interesting, I am actively working towards deciding on which sequencer I would like to add. Sorry for the crappy picture.. :)

Most of that is Antumbra re-designs of mutable products in the picture. After later doesn't give credit anywhere, which is interesting but not unexpected with that kind of operation.

Not that I'm a big fan of all the clones myself (I own plenty of MI, but no clones), but After Later Audio literally calls all of their MI clones "Micro Mutables" on their website, and also directly credits MI in their module descriptions. It's completely false to say that they aren't crediting MI.

Wasn't claiming they didn't credit Mutable. It is quite obvious they did. They definitely didn't credit Antumbra or Jakplugg's re-designs. That was the point I was making. These designers spent considerable time and effort developing new takes on modules that many including myself have greatly enjoyed building and using. Not crediting them, slapping new panels on them and calling it a day is not in the spirit of sharing and crediting found within the ethical parts of the DIY community imo.

Finally completed my Modular.
or at least a major milestone of satisfaction... I am nearly 99% recovered from GAS.

Two Intellijel 7U 104HP cases with joiners.
Intellijel Octalink from Ableton CV Tools, Expert Sleepers FH-2 and µMIDI 1U for external input and sync (26 gate/CV inputs).
Sequencer: Frap USTA (another 16 CV/Gate sources)
Sources: Frap Brenso, Instruō Cs-L and Tš-L, IME Piston Honda MkIII, and Pittsburgh Primary VCO (8 oscillators total).
filters: Instruō I-ō47, Make Noise QPAS, Intellijel Korgasmatron II, IME Bionic Lester MkIII and Mutable Ripples MkI (8 total filters).
Functions/EGs: Frap Falistri, Intellijel Quadrax, Klavis Quadigy and Xaoc Zadar (14 envelopes)
Modulation: Xaoc Batumi and Pamela's NEW! Workout, Intellijel Noise Tools, Planar2 and FSR 1U (14+ unique CV sources).
Effects/Sampling: Instruō Lùbadh and arbhar.
VCAs/LPGs: Intellijel Quad VCA, Dual VCA 1U, and two LPG 1U, Make Noise LXd (along with CGM - 14 VCAs)
Utilities: Mordax DATA, Frap 321 and 333, Intellijel Quadratt, Buff Mult and 2 Mults.
Mixing and IO: Frap Tools CGM with two channels, group and master, custom Befaco STMIX, Intellijel Stereo Out 1U and Audio IO 1U. - 9 channels total, 7 of them stereo, three FX busses, two "FAT" channels with VCAs for FX and panning, level matching for outboard FX, and all mixed down to a single stereo output or headphones.

And 2HP of 3U and 18HP of 1U left over to keep the flame of module acquisition (special GAS) alive...

Outboard - I have a Lexicon MPX550, Eventide H9 and TimeFactor, and a 6 channel stereo summing mixer to bring all the FX back to Frap CGM. Additionally - it's all interconnected to Ableton Live/Push2 with a Uaudio Apollo 8 and Presonus Faderport 16 (my DAW), and a Prophet Rev2 16-voice and Arturia Microfreak.

I'm in a really happy place... I can create 5+ voices with lots of control, and I get excited and inspired using nearly every module. My original idea was to have a compact, comprehensive and cohesive modular system - not just a collection of modules. Everything in this modular works really well together, and well with the DAW. Along the way I've had some great help from Simone from Frap Tools, Jason and Kian from Instruō, Scott from Intellijel, and - and some incredible folks formerly at Moog Audio, which has sadly closed their Toronto store. The year-long journey of building this has been a fun adventure... you can hear it on the 200 recordings I've put up on Soundcloud... all performed from this setup during its evolution.

Now for the next 200 sonic experiments...

Gotcha, misunderstood who you thought they should be crediting. And I agree with your sentiment, if that's what they're doing.

Wow, this is an amazing case! And the 1U row is really nice. I assume it had to be custom built?

:yay:

That's a very nice system. How do you find the Usta? I'm still not 100% happy with my sequencing, mainly due to oddities with clocking the varigate and its lack of global swing, but the price tag of Usta prevents me from just trying it out.
